We get hot in this chapter!!

I swear I loved writing this chapter so much.

Several days go by without us saying a word, again. Just things related to work. Porsche is actively ignoring but I can't judge him cause I'm doing the exact same thing.

On Tuesday, Porsche came to deliver his report for last week's goals. I took the paperwork without looking at his face and as he was leaving, Pete came in, followed by a serious looking man. He was as tall as Pete, but still shorter than me or Porsche, he was slim built but looked pretty muscular; he had high cheekbones and small eyes. He was wearing all black.

"Good thing both of you are here." Pete says and shows us a smiley eyes smile, like only he could. "This is boss' new co-assistant, his name is Vegas Kornwit Ayutthaya."

"Nice meeting you." He says, still serious. I wonder if he'll get along with Pete who is chatty, always smiling and optimistic. Vegas looked like he could murder you with his eyes, not before torturing you.

But hey, I think I've been proved to not be the best judge of character.

"Glad you finally joined." Porsche replies with a big smile. I let myself look at his face now that Vegas and Pete are with us and I can't help to feel nervous when I do. He looks cute again, with those broad shoulders and that pretty smile. He sounds professional, just like he did since day one. His eyes meet mine for one second before he looks at someone else. His cheeks pink.

"This is Kinn and this is Porsche." Pete introduces us.

We chat a few sentences and then Vegas says: "I was kind of hoping you'd let me see the latest promotions that were offered."

Pete is about to talk when he's interrupted by Porsche.

"I just finished them. I have them in my office." He leads Vegas to his office and Pete stays silent for a while.

"Is everything okay?" Pete asks.

I look at him, confused.

"Yeah, why do you ask?"

"You look stressed and I see you and Porsche are not talking again." He points. Pete is very observant, I had no idea he even knew of the other times me and Porsche would not talk to each other.

"It's nothing important." I confess.

Pete thinks about what to say for another minute.

"Just be patient with Porsche. He overthinks everything all the time, but I'm sure whatever happened this time, it will be over soon."

I like Pete, he's always got a good advice to give you, even when he doesn't know what's going on.

I smiled sincerely and say: "Thank you."

PORSCHE'S POV.

Vegas and I return to Kinn's office once I've handed the paperwork to him. We enter the office just to find Pete and Kinn in silence, smiling to each other.

Something burns inside of me at the sight. Vegas and Pete finally leave, closing the door behind them, leaving both of us alone. I take this as my queue as well to leave but then Kinn stops me by grabbing my arm.

Oh no, I thought we were avoiding each other, I think. Still not ready to look him in the eyes.

"About the other day..." He starts and I immediately panic. I shut him by slapping my hand in his mouth. This is when I look him in the eye, just to see him flustered and as nervous as I currently feel.
