Characters from the games and creepypastas in this book do not belong to me. This story will probably not have anything warning worthy other than profanity and swears, but if there is something I will include a disclaimer.

'I'm Gold,' the notepad replied.
'Is that your name or a nickname?' (Name) typed back.
'That's my name'
'Ok "Gold" what are you?' (Name) asked.
'I'm dead'
(Name) read this as a joke, assuming that whatever AI this must be has a sense of dark humor.
'Does your program have audio, or can you only type?'
'My program?'
'You're an AI, right?'
'No'
'Then what are you?'
'I'm dead'
(Name) facepalmed at this, desperately trying to keep it together as they talked the whatever this was.
'Ok but can you only type?' (Name) asked it, deciding that his/her question was more important than yelling.
'I can talk too'
'Can you see me?'
'You have a sticky note over the camera so no'
(Name)'s face shifted to one of panic. How did it know that he/she had a sticky note covering the camera on the computer.
'How did you know that?' (Name) typed back hesitantly.
'Because that's all I can see other than your typed up responses. Being in a computer is weird and it'd be rude of me to rummage through your files so I'm trying to stay where I am'
'And where is that?'
'No clue'
(Name) decided to not reply, instead stretching his/her arms and waiting to see what Gold would say next. While stretching though, he/she knocked his/her metal water bottle off the desk.
It didn't leak, but it made a loud thud and hit (name)'s foot.
"OUCH, HOLY SHIT! OWWWWW..." (name) took a sharp breath inwards as his/her foot seethed in pain.
"A-are you ok?! What was that thud?" A nervous voice came from the computer.
"Water bottle. Foot. Pain." (Name) said without wondering who spoke until after they replied. "Wait... SO YOU CAN SPEAK!"
"I-I said that before..." Gold said in a mildly offended tone.
"So are you a virus, a bot, what are you?"
"I said I'm dead, w-why do you keep asking me?"
"Because my computer is talking to me an' I'm pretty sure I'm going insane because of it."
"Oh... g-good point."
"How can you be dead if you're clearly interacting with me?"
"Uhh," Gold had to think for a second. "I don't know."
(Name) sighed. "...I don't have the mental capacity or time for this. Lemme go an' write some of my essay an' then we can talk later."
"O-ok."
"An' DON'T close out my tabs this time."
"I won't, I-I'm sorry."
(Name) opened back up the essay tab and resumed working on it. After writing a few sentences though, (name) felt the urge to speak again.
"An' no lookin' at my essay either."
"O-ok."
After making sure that Gold wouldn't be looking at his/her essay, (name) resumed typing it. Not more than 5 seconds later though, Gold spoke.
"W-why can't I look at your essay?"
"Because my grammar sucks an' so does my essay."
"Any o-other reason?" Gold asked, feeling that those weren't the only reasons.
"It's personal... an' it's embarrassing to share with anyone besides the teacher for a stupid grade."
"What's it a-about?"
"None of your business."
"Ok... I'll s-shut up now."
(Name) resumed his/her essay but was now paranoid that Gold would look at it. This made his/her work a bit sloppier than usual and made (name) a lot more anxious.
Gold though, was not looking. Despite being curious, he was scared and confused. When he heard (name) yelling at the computer before that it was stupid, Gold was somewhat terrified. But nothing scared him so much as when the computer got rebooted.
For the 30 seconds that the computer was off, Gold found himself in a sensory prison. He could feel nothing, see nothing, hear nothing, smell nothing. The world had become a void and he was all alone, he was scared that he'd be stuck like that, but when the computer turned back on it was all over.
Gold didn't have a choice, being in (name)'s computer. Because of the adapter cable linking his game to the computer, he was trapped in the computer until his cartridge gets unplugged. If he had a choice in the matter, Gold likely wouldn't have gone in the computer.

"I've 2 paragraphs left but I'm too lazy to do them right now," (name) said aloud, hoping to spark a conversation with Gold.
"You s-should try to finish them though," Gold replied.
"Gold, you need to learn a thing or two about unhealthy habits of procrastination. It's very fun an' you should let me do it."
"B-but—"
"But nothing, procrastinating is nice.... Until you have 100 assignments all due and you haven't started any."
"O-ok. So what're you gonna d-do now, uhhhh?"
"It's (name). An' I'm going to pick up the water bottle that fell over an hour ago now, and maybe get food."
"T-that's still on the floor?!" Gold exclaimed.
"Procrastination, Gold. Procrastination," (name) said as he/she reached down to pick up the water bottle. "Hey, but at least it didn't spill. Mushy socks are the worst!"
"I-I wouldn't know," Gold replied in a disconnected tone
"What do you mean by that?"
"I-uh-I don't have limbs. No limbs means no socks. No socks means no mushy socks."
"Did you leave the computer at some point by any chance?"
