Characters from the games and creepypastas in this book do not belong to me. This story will probably not have anything warning worthy other than profanity and swears, but if there is something I will include a disclaimer.

Soon enough, a month and a half had passed. Glitchy, Gold, (name), and Nick had become good friends for the most part. Glitchy didn't really become friends with anyone, he more contributed to a conversation when he felt like it and was silent for the majority of the time. Gold, (name), and Nick though were all friends now.
Since it was the middle of the spring semester, midterms were coming up. Unlike Nick, who could get a D and be celebrating, (name) didn't have that luxury.
Because of the high expectations of (name)'s parents, he/she had to get a B+ at the worst. Normally, (name) would procrastinate studying until the morning of the test or just wouldn't study at all, but because the study guide was for a grade and the teacher would be checking student's progress on it daily, (name) had no choice but to study some.
So instead of going to the second private study room and eating lunch with Nick and Gold and Glitchy, (name) dropped off his/her computer and Gold's cartridge there so Nick and Gold could still chat, and then (name) went to study in the room adjacent to them.
This led to an entire week of (name) being super distant. Only holding brief conversation with Gold after school and practically ignoring him during the school day.

"Don't worry guys, my last midterm is today, so after this I'm back!" (Name) told Nick and Gold before leaving to study in another room.
"Ok, good luck with your studying," Nick waved goodbye.
"B-bye, (name)!" Gold said, then (name) left. "... I hate m-midterms!"
"Why do you hate them, you don't even take them," Nick asked.
"Well I-I like chatting with (name) and I can't when all he/she does i-is study."
"Bu—"
"and I-I know he/she doesn't have a choice and h-has to study, b-but I liked it better when he/she would p-procrastinate homework and stuff a bit to t-talk with me," Gold was pouting some.
"Sounds to me like someone likes (name)," Glitchy chimed in.
"N-n-no I don't!!" Gold quickly denied, stuttering a bit more than usual.
"Oh you definitely like (name)," Nick said.
"Nooooooooo, you g-guys are so funny. W-what a funny joke t-that is," Gold was denying his feelings and was acting so nervous about it in the process.
"Gold, just admit that you like him/her."
"B-but... but..."
"It's just three words, you got this," Nick tried to pep up Gold some.
"I... I-I might or m-might not l-l-like (name)."
"If you're going to say it, say it like you mean it," Glitchy interjected.
"I like (name)," Gold said.
"...oh my god, he actually said it," Nick gasped a bit.
"W-what do you mean by t-that?!"
"I wasn't expecting you to actually say it!"
"T-that wasn't very nice," Gold was frowning.
"... psshhh it wasn't mean," Nick tried to defend himself. "So are you going to tell (name)?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"W-what if (name) doesn't like me?! W-what if he/she becomes uncomfortable a-around me because of it and he/she never w-wants to talk to me again?!" Gold was a bit paranoid.
"But Gold, what if he/she DOES like you? What if (name) isn't telling you that he/she likes you because he/she is scared that YOU would be uncomfortable around HIM/HER if he/she said anything?" Nick countered.
"B-but..."
"You won't know unless you try, okay?"
"I-Im scared though. I think I'd b-be fine getting friend-zoned, b-but things would be really a-awkward and I-I wouldn't know what to do."
"I won't pressure you into telling (name) that you like him/her, but I will warn you that if you never tell (name), someone else might confess to him/her first and then you will never get the chance to tell (name) how you feel about him/her. So keep that in mind," Nick decided it was time to drop the subject. It would be wrong to force Gold to confess his feelings for (name) to (name) when Gold is clearly still weighing the options.
"I-I'll think about it over the weekend."
~~~
Come Monday, midterms were over and (name) had gotten back his/her grades.
They weren't perfect, but they were all high 80s and low 90s.
Returning back to lunch with Glitchy, Gold, and Nick, (name) was welcomed back as if he/she had never disappeared for a week in the first place.
"(Name)?" Gold wanted to say one last thing before lunch ended.
"What's up?"
"C-c-can I tell you s-something?" Gold sounded really nervous.
"Go ahead," (name) replied, a bit confused at the reason for Gold's tone of voice.
