brooklyn sighed, knowing what would happen if she did this. she unbuckled and got out of her car, making her way towards the entrance of the building.
she walked in and was met by a smiling selina.
"brooklyn, hi!" selina said. "what a surprise. what's up?"
brooklyn smiled. "i'm picking up amanda so we can go get dinner but she hasn't come outside yet." she explained.
"oh, okay." selina said. "last i knew, she was with angela and chanse."
"alright, thank you." brooklyn said and made her way toward the couch that she knows angela likes to sleep on.
"amanda?" brooklyn said, popping her head into the room.
"oh, hey, sorry, i was just talking to shayne." amanda smiled.
oh my god, amanda brooklyn thought.
"manda', i've been waiting outside for twenty minutes." brooklyn said.
"oops." amanda said.
"hey brooklyn, how's it goin'?" shayne asked.
"oh, not too bad." brooklyn smiled. "just dealing with this one's shenanigans."
shayne laughed. "amanda? shenanigans? never." he said.
amanda laughed. "i hate you guys."
"oh really, then i guess i'll take shayne to dinner instead." brooklyn said before she even realized what she was saying. within seconds, she knew she gave amanda the perfect opportunity to try to set them up.
"maybe you should." she said, elbowing shayne in the arm. shayne smiled.
"alright, we have to go." brooklyn said. "reservation." she shrugged.
shayne nodded. "well, have fun."
"thank you." amanda said. "we will." she laughed.
"see ya'." he smiled as the two women walked out of the room.
"brooke, i love your sweater!" amanda said. "where'd you get it?"
"i can't with you." brooklyn said.
"whatever do you mean?" she asked, trying to hide her smile.
brooklyn walked toward the door and said her goodbyes to selina.
"dude, really?" she asked amanda as they got into her car.
"i'm sorry!" amanda laughed. "but you're the one who said it."
"okay fine. but the elbow!? seriously?" she pressed her forehead to her steering wheel, laughing out of embarrassment.
"it's fine," amanda started. "i doubt he even thinks i spoke to you about it."
brooklyn groaned and started the car. "we're gonna be late to our reservation because someone waited twenty minutes to leave."
"oops." amanda smiled. "hey, did you ever follow him back on instagram?"
"mhm."
