The Arena

The Arena was nothing like I had imagined. It was huge, it smelled like alcohol, and everyone was ugly. They were nothing like Asher and his gorgeous face and build. Everyone was drinking, gambling, and committing sins worse than any human had ever imagined. Asher stood out like a sore thumb in a sea of ugly. He wore a thick leather jacket with black pants and boots. Rachel wore a green t-shirt with brown pants. Jake had on a long brown jacket with blue jeans. They were laughing together and drinking beer. Everyone who walked past me stared, but I couldn't care any less. "Hey Faith, how're you liking the Arena?" said Rachel sarcastically with Jake's arm around her soldier. "I love it!" I said with all the happiness I could muster. "Really?" Jake said,"Do you want a drink?". Asher spoke up all of a sudden,"Absolutely not Jake! We can't give Faith a drink!". I smiled that he respected my beliefs. "Thanks Asher", I said,"and no, Jake, I don't want anything to drink".

Soon, I realized that most everyone is crowded around a low stage in the center of the Arena. I decide to go up to it and see what all the fuss is about. When I finally make it to the stage through a huge crowd of gross, greasy, screaming, and smelly demons, I see the most repulsive image I have ever seen. Two demons are hitting and kicking each other. One bit skin and drank blood of the other. The sight of this is too much for me to handle. In one quick motion I jump up on the stage and scream,"STOP!!". It feels like the whole world looks at me in this moment. Even though everyone else is quiet, the two men continue fighting. I glare at them, letting my face get fierce, with my eyes slightly squinted. Suddenly, I feel an air escape from my body, throwing the men away from each other, but no one else seems to have been effected by the wind. Everyone looks at me, awestruck, that a timid little angel could quiet a room of demons and throw the most powerful demons in hell against the walls. Asher quickly grabs me from behind and carries me off the stage, out of the Arena, and into the bitter chill. Then, as soon as we are out of the Arena, I feel extremely tired, so tired. My thoughts become blurred and just before I black out, I see the fires of hell unleash behind Jake, Asher, Rachel, and me. This is trouble.
