Everyday since the first kiss, Asher has gotten me alone to kiss me at least once. Angels aren't supposed to kiss anyone, especially a demon. Somehow, I don't feel like Asher is a true demon. He certainly doesn't look like one. He told Rachel that they were just friends, which didn't make her like me anymore, but she and Jake are a couple now. Our group couldn't get any happier if we tried. Or so we thought.
Because I'm the only angel in the group, Asher forces everyone to keep it clean when I'm around. It's odd because I don't try to dirty it up for them, but I feel a constant force pulling me to be more like a demon. I keep trying to remember something new everyday from my past to remind me that I am an angel. I know the day is fast approaching that I will have nothing left of my past to remind me of. Today I'm thinking about Hope. I'm thinking about what she probably told them to keep me safe. I'm so ashamed that I abandoned my very best friend for a few demons. She must hate me.
Asher decided that our group should try to go to Africa to meet up with a few other demons. It only took us an hour to make it there, with me flying and the rest of the group running in demon hyper speed. We arrived on a dark beach that was once beautiful. As I look around, two dark, dreary figures catch my eye. They start walking toward us with purpose. "Asher", I wisper,"what do we need from these people?". Asher sighs and says,"News." I guess he's finished talking about it. When they finally get to us, I nearly scream. They look exacly alike, both with a hood and dark skin with tunics on. There is one thing that separates them from each other: their eyes. The first demon's eyes are white, plain white. When I look at the other's eyes, I see everything that has or will ever scare me. I see hell, I see the Arena, I see the falling of an angel, and lastly, I see Satan himself.
"You all are in trouble." Rachel bursts into tears. It startles me, but neither Asher nor Jake flinch. "What do you mean by that Timeo?" says Asher. "You have started a war. A war between heaven and hell". Asher just looks down and scowls. "How can we stop this?" he says. Both Timeo laugh, "You cannot stop this war, but she can finish it". Everyone looks at me. What? How can I possibly end a war? And a war of such great proportion? Samuel has always told me that I'm a special angel, but how was I supposed to know that this is what being special means? My face suddenly hardens, "How?" Both demons take on a grin that sends a chill down my spine. One of them says," So eager, are we? You must all go up to heaven with the other demons. Then, Faith must chose her side: the angels or the demons."
