It was just so gorgeous, he seriously felt like such a lucky boy. It felt like things could finally start turning around now that he was engaged and would be starting a family.
Everything felt so perfect like everything was as it should be.
Yeonjun dropped Jooyeon off back home when their date was over. Unfortunately, Yeonjun had work very early in the morning the next day so they couldn't spend the night together.
Only then, as Jooyeon stood on the doormat in front of Jungsu's apartment did it strike him that the news of his engagement was definitely not going to go over very well with his best friends.
The boy took a deep breath as he opened the door to the apartment, sliding his shoes off as he called out to Jungsu to let him know he was home. "We're in here," Jungsu called out in response.
Jooyeon walked further into the apartment, turning into the living room where Jungsu and Seungmin were sat on the couch, watching a movie. "How was your evening?" Seungmin asked curiously as Jungsu moved his arm from around him.
Jooyeon stood in the archway of the room, doing his best to hide his hands in his pockets, answering with a small nod. "It was good," Jooyeon answered as he tried his best to seem casual, like he wasn't hiding anything but it was very obvious that he was.
Both boys just nodded at Jooyeon as they watched him stand there. "I was with.. um.. Yeonjun," Joo suddenly admitted, pursing his lips as his friends just nodded.
"We figured," Jungsu nodded a bit, obvious disappointment washing over their faces.
Seungmin and Jungsu had advised Jooyeon not to see Yeonjun anymore but the sad reality was that Jooyeon was an adult and could make those decisions for himself. They just wanted to protect him and limit the arguments between them so they could keep doing that.
Jooyeon was rather caught off guard by their nonchalant reaction to his confession, so, he figured, the rest might get the same response. "Well, we had dinner," He spoke awkwardly. He really wasn't sure how to approach the topic and tell them all that had happened that evening.
Jungsu and Seungmin just nodded their heads as they listened to the boy speak. "Um, Yeah, We're engaged and I'm pregnant," Jooyeon suddenly blurted, stammering a little before attempting to turn away so he could escape to his bedroom. "Woah-" Jungsu was the first to react as Seungmin sat there in disbelief, wide eyed as well as the boy beside him.
"Get back here, Lee Jooyeon." Jungsu called out sternly, stopping the boy in his tracks. "You're what?" Jungsu asked him as he looked at him in pure shock.
"I'm really tired, I was- I was gonna.. tu-turn in early," Jooyeon answered awkwardly, stammering on his words a bit. Jungsu just gave him a look, one that didn't seem amused in the slightest.
Jungsu sighed in frustration as he turned away from Jooyeon. "I don't even know how to begin unpacking that," Jungsu huffed out as he shook his head, burying his face in his hands.
