October had arrived, and with it came the excitement of Halloween. Y/N and Hyunjin had decided to go all out this year with their Halloween decorations, aiming to have the spookiest and most eye-catching house on the entire street. They had spent hours at the store, bickering over which decorations to buy, each convinced that their choices would make the house look the best.

As they stood in the store's Halloween section, Y/N held up a lifelike skeleton. "This one, Hyunjin! It's perfect for the front porch. It'll give everyone chills!"

Hyunjin raised an eyebrow, his eyes fixed on a giant inflatable pumpkin. "Are you kidding? This pumpkin is the ultimate Halloween statement piece. It's a must!"

Their playful argument continued, and soon their shopping cart was filled with a mix of creepy and cute decorations, from tombstones and spiderwebs to friendly ghosts and witches' hats. It was a mix of styles that represented their shared love for Halloween.

Back home, they were eager to start decorating. The warm autumn sunbathed their front yard in golden light, and a cool breeze rustled the leaves in the trees. Y/N and Hyunjin set to work, putting up decorations with enthusiasm.

But it didn't take long for their competitive spirits to take over. As they arranged the decorations, they couldn't resist trying to outdo each other. Y/N playfully positioned a skeleton so it seemed to reach out and grab at anyone who passed by, while Hyunjin added a motion-activated ghost that shrieked when someone walked by.

Their friendly pranks escalated as they took breaks from decorating. Hyunjin strategically placed a fake spider on Y/N's shoulder while she was hanging a string of pumpkin lights, causing her to scream and swat at the imaginary arachnid. Y/N retaliated by sneaking up on Hyunjin while he was arranging a group of tombstones, making ghostly noises that sent him jumping.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, playful shrieks, and a series of surprise scares. The house slowly began to transform into a Halloween wonderland, with a mix of eerie and charming decorations that reflected the playful spirit of the holiday.

As they continued to chase each other around the front yard, Hyunjin tried to throw a fake snake at Y/N, only to miss and have it land on a nearby tree branch. Y/N, seizing the opportunity, pointed at the snake, and screamed, sending Hyunjin running for cover.

But Y/N's laughter soon gave way to a sly grin as she concocted a mischievous plan. She picked up the snake, made it wiggle, and then approached Hyunjin, who was crouching behind a row of pumpkins.

"Hyunjin," she called out, her voice trembling with fear. "I think the snake is still here! Help me!"

Hyunjin, ever the gentleman, couldn't resist coming to her rescue. He cautiously stepped out from behind the pumpkins and reached out to grab the fake snake. But as he did, Y/N lunged at him, causing both of them to tumble to the ground in a heap of laughter and screams.

They landed side by side on the front lawn, bathed in the warm afternoon sun. Their laughter echoed in the quiet neighbourhood, and they couldn't help but catch their breath and gaze at the clear blue sky above.

Y/N turned her head to look at Hyunjin, her eyes dancing with mischief. "Well, I think we got carried away with the pranks."

Hyunjin chuckled, his arm brushing against hers. "Yeah, we did. But it was a lot of fun."

The gentle breeze rustled the leaves around them as they lay side by side, the bright colours of their Halloween decorations surrounding them. Y/N reached for Hyunjin's hand, and their fingers intertwined.

As they lay there in the afternoon sun, Y/N and Hyunjin found a moment of peace and connection amid the chaos of their Halloween decorating. The sounds of laughter and friendly pranks had given way to a comfortable silence, and they couldn't help but smile at each other.

"You know," Y/N said softly, "even with all the pranks and scares, this has been a perfect day."

Hyunjin turned to her, his eyes filled with affection. "You're right. It's days like this that make our love even spookier."
