You have been visiting Papyrus for how long now? 6 months total? Something like that. It was now October and the weather was getting quite cold, too cold for most flowers. Not like your husband let you plant them anymore, your punishment for punching his ugly mug... what Charles didn't know was that you got to help Papyrus in his garden so it didn't matter too much. Though, having your own garden to look at had been quite nice... you sighed, at least some of your flowers had survived and were now being safely taken care of by Papyrus.
You remembered that Papyrus's favorite season was fall... would he like some pumpkins cookies? You also wondered if he would be willing to carve pumpkins with you, you had never... done that before. The question was... how would you make cookies without your husband knowing? You could give him some but he probably would demand everything and share it with his co-workers... You'll just hide some away for Papyrus like you did the Hershey's kiss.
You had also recently gone out to town and found yourself a nice Cafè and public library! It was really exciting as it was completely new to you... you even met some Monsters who asked you if they could sit with you since the café had gotten full before they could have gotten a seat and you immediately accepted. You had actually planned to meet them at the weekend as the three of you clicked really nicely. One was a cat Monster called Catty, very... original and the other was a crocodile Monster called Bratty... colorful name choice.
"SO WHEN WILL YOU COME NEXT? I WAS THINKING THIS WEEKEND SO I COULD SHOW YOU THE LIBRARY" You were sitting on the couch with Papyrus, watching the garden from inside the living room. Wait... there had been a library here the entire time!? "There's a library here?" You asked stumped, he had never talked about a library before. "ALWAYS HAVE BEEN! I THOUGHT YOU WEREN'T INTO READING SO I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING... UNTIL NOW" Was it because you had occasionally come with a book in hand once or twice? Those books had wrapped you around their pages and you couldn't put them down.
"I would love to!" You wondered if the library was the same in this world too, probably was but was the books? That would be interesting to find out! "But this weekend I'm busy" You had planned to hangout with Catty and Bratty this weekend. "BUSY...?" He tilted his skull like he couldn't believe you would ever be busy. "Oh yeah! I made plans with friends" You explained as you snuggled into the blanket some more. "FRIENDS?" He mumbled loudly, was it so hard to believe you had made friends?
"Yup... so how about next week?" You laid down onto the couch, truly feeling like you were in a cocoon. Your feet touching the side of Papyrus's thigh, he didn't seem to mind being a source of warmth for your feet. "THAT'S WORKS!" It's not like he was any busier than you, his work was basically getting you to give up your Soul to him. "Oh and... I was wondering if you wanted to carve some pumpkins with me?" You added, getting more comfortable on the couch. You could fall asleep any minute now with how cozy you were.
"YOU WANT TO-... WITH ME?" You could ask Catty and Bratty but... you wanted to do it with Papyrus since he really liked fall and everything. Besides, it was funnier to mildly annoy him. You knew he found you amusing. "Yeah? Not a fan of mutilating pumpkins?" You knew he would definitely not like how you said that.
"DON'T PHRASE IT LIKE THAT!" You couldn't see his expression but you could imagine it, you smiled at that. "Tattooing pumpkins?" You got up from the couch, afraid you might have fallen asleep accidentally. "WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME" You laughed as he looked at you with a frown. "Because I like you" You playfully said as you watched the rain fall outside as leaves were turning more and more red, yellow and orange.
What you didn't see was something else that was changing colors as well, bone cheeks dimly glowing orange, hidden by a skeletal hand.
