Okay, so here's the plan. You take the swap potion, switch with the prince, then live his life in the most luxurious way possible. You have to save him though... What annoyed you more though is that you don't want to be stuck as a boy and you want to live the life of a princess... so that's not an option... unless everyone miraculously forgets that they had a prince and that instead it was a princess all along... gotta ask!!!

"Hey... um... sir...? Does the swap potion swap bodies with me and the person or does their whole position switch with me and everyone forgets?"

He just stared at you.

You turn around before he says, pressing his hand to his temple, "...How would I know?"

You deadpan, "You work here hough?"

"Eh."

I could steal the potion and test it out on an unsuspecting victim, but this is a magic tower so that would not work. I'm probably not going to get this potion ...but it could be useful in certain situations.

"So how does the potion work?"

"We never tried it out, could have some...side effects..."

"Why is it on sale then?!"

He got annoyed, "Look, just buy it or leave it!"

He looked at you for a moment before he looked like a light bulb went off in his head. "You know what, how about this? You test the potion out for the store, and you can have it for FREE. Do it well, and you might even get paid!" His face was smug.

"Is that even allowed? Aren't you an employee? How do I even get a person to drink it? How do I reverse the effects?"

"..."

"..don't worry about that. About your question, either get someone to drink it, or think of another way. Also we can do make some magic to reverse the effects, so just do the mission."

"How long does that take?"

"...Good question. You should ask Germaine!"

"Yeah, but he's not here, You rolled your eyes.

"Just keep waiting." He shrugged.

"Can I sleep here?"

"Absolutely not."

"But I have nowhere to stay around here..." You should've thought about this before you guess.

"I'll put a blanket and a pillow on the floor, you can stay there." He facepalmed.

"OK!" It's better than nothing!

Soon enough, it was almost dinner time and he led to you the dining table and he got some broth for you two to eat.

"Woah this smells good." You inhaled the food deeply.

"Really? You like it? Taste it. Germaine himself whipped it up." He suddenly perked up.

You tasted the soup. Scrumptious! "It's amazing! You must be a fan of Germaine's soup."

"Indeed." He smiled a bit, which was interesting because you never saw him smile the whole time.

After eating, he showed you to this nice room with a fireplace, an armchair around it, and it surrounded by some book shelves. There was a nice, cozy rug too. The fireplace was lit and the fire roared as it warmed the room. There were blankets situated near the armchair as well.

The man said you could sit there to relax and unwind and he would go to his quarters or whatever he needed to do. You could use the blanket if you wanted. You thanked him and sat in the chair. You took a book from the shelf, blanket on your shoulder and headed back to the armchair to curl up and read it.

Before you knew it, you drifted off to sleep.

Author's note: What do you guys think about the story so far? Any theories on the prince's whereabouts or anything else?
