"Are you seriously reading 10 little monkeys?" You slowly open your eyes to the bookish man hovering above your face. "Plus, if you sleep like that on the armchair you'll only wreak havoc on your spine. You were supposed to sleep on the floor, albeit this looks to be rather more comfy." He frowned.

"It was."

"Glad to hear. Anyways, I have good news."

"The way to get them back after they switch?"

"Exactly. Now you go test it out." He gave a exasperated smile.

"Wait, I have a few ques-" Before you could say much, pushed you outside quickly without answering any questions.

"That little!" You figured it was time to find your victims, but that would mean you would have to get out of here and over to the nearest village or so.

You started your journey, and walked a bit.

"You thought I would let you go alone? Hah!" Out of nowhere the man from earlier found his way to your side.

"I thought this was just my mission..?"

"Yeah but it's a bit of a risk. I would like to be able to collect the results of the study, and you know, maybe turn them back? Unless, of course... you wanted to leave the poor people ...switched?" He smirked and put a figure to his bottom lip in a gesture of thought.

"How did you know? That was my plan from the start!" You rolled your eyes. This guy was starting to show some personality, huh? Well too bad, because you had a mission to accomplish. Well, make that the two of you.

Along the walk you remembered something. "Hey, what's your name?"

"...You can call me Eniam."

You almost laughed. "What type of na-" You didn't really want to offend a possible mage. "Um... that's a weird name?"

"It's not the most common of the bunch, I'll tell you that. What about you?"

"I'm Y/n."

You both eventually made it to a nearby area and saw some people, the outliers that stood out being a boy and his friend playing along the edge of the river.

Eniam pointed to them sideeying you, "They look like some good targets. Won't really disrupt their daily lives unlike adults. Adults have to make a living. How about you find a way to make them drink the potion?"

"Wow, you're pretty considerate."

"Thanks for the compliment." What a smug face he had.

"Any ideas?"

"No not really, tough luck."

Your eyes landed on a milk vendor nearby. "Can you buy some milk for me, I'm craving some... milk. Get two in case... I need more." You mumbled quietly to add on to your previous statement, "Or we could share..." You mentally facepalmed.

"What? Who does that? And did you say something at the end?" He furrows his brows in bewilderment and it looks like he is holding in laughter. His face turns a twinge red.

"Nothing! Just buy it! Please erm...sir!"

"You said please, so alright... But it's so random..." He shook his head.

Once he came back with the milk, you take them and quickly unbottle the potions, slipping some of the potions in with both.

"I had a feeling you were going to do that." He shook his head again.

"You gotta do what you gotta do!"

So then you went over to the kids and Eniam just stood there, watching amusedly.

"Hey kids, do you want some milk?" "Uh... free of charge!"

The kids looked at you funny. "Mommy said not to take things from strangers!"

"Or talk to them!" The other one added.

You sighed, before putting on a cheerful mask, "You kids want to grow big and strong right? Milk is expensive! Your parents don't have to pay, and you can get strong bones! You can get tall too! Imagine how happy your parents would be!" This was so cringey. You never thought you would be the weird stranger.

"Okay!" So you gave them both the milk and then you bolted to where Eniam was.

You were a bit out of breath, "Now what?"

"Let's see what happens." He grinned.

Of course, nothing. Nothing happened.
