「𝑶𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒂'𝒔 𝒑𝒐𝒗」
After Mountain and I went back to the living room, Aether sat down next to me to ask some questions as he was curious about my story and who I was. Before I could answer any of the questions, I got cut off by Sodo, who was sitting on the other end of the couch.
« Why would you want to know about her? Do you actually think she likes you, Aether? » Sodo said as he glared at me.
Was he trying to make Aether think I was a bad person? It definitely looked like it. Aether and I looked over at Sodo.
« I do like him. Don't try to make me look like someone I am not. » I said as I frowned back at him.
Sodo groaned before walking out of the living room. A few seconds later, we heard a door slam. It was probably Sodo.
« I made him upset, didn't I? » I asked Aether.
« He gets upset easily. Don't worry about that. » Aether answered, smiling reassuringly.
I spent the whole day chatting with the ghouls as they got to know me more. I was having so much fun with the ghouls. I didn't notice how fast time goes. It was already 4:30 PM, and Cumulus and Copia were making dinner. Aether also wanted to help, but apparently, last time he tried cooking, he set the whole kitchen on fire. Must've been chaotic.
« Guys, dinner is ready! » We soon heard Cumulus say from the kitchen.
I headed to the kitchen, followed by Swiss and Mountain, who had been talking with me for the past few minutes. As I arrived in the kitchen, there was only one seat left, next to Sodo. Neither of us wanted to sit next to each other, but I guess I had to, I would feel bad asking someone to change places just because I didn't want to sit next to Sodo. I sat down, and Sodo glared at me for a few seconds before starting to eat the food that Cumulus and Copia made. What did I ever do to him, damn...
I also started to eat the food, and it tasted so good compared to the food I made myself. My mother never really helped me make my own lunch, so most of the time, the food tasted horrible because, let's be honest, I sucked at cooking.
「Later」
After everyone finished eating, Copia decided that we should go practice playing a few songs to see how good I was playing with the others. Of course, playing alone or with others, there was no difference.
We practiced a few songs, and after we ended the song Dance Macabre, I felt something hit the back of my head. It didn't hurt and was small, but I still felt it. I looked on the ground and saw a guitar pick on the ground, Sodo's guitar pick.
« What was that for..? » I asked, turning to look at him before he threw another one at me. « Hey-! » I said as a third one hit my head.
« Stop complaining! » He said, sounding pissed as the whole room went silent.
« What did I even do to you for you to hate me like that?! » I exclaimed.
At some point, I couldn't hide my annoyance. Rain and Cumulus were starting to get nervous as they seemed to not like when people argued.
« Can't you shut up?! » He shouted as he got closer to me, practically being in my face.
Why was he putting on the tough act? At least I hope he wasn't trying to impress me by being mean to me as it definitely wasn't working one bit.
« Calm down, you gremlin! » Mountain said, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and lifting him in the air as he was shorter than him.
« Put me down! » Sodo angrily exclaimed as he lowkey punched the air.
« Are you alright? » Cumulus asked, worried.
I nodded as I looked over at Sodo, who had broken himself free from Mountain's grasp. He was leaning against the wall, his arms crossed and staring at the ground.
« Sodo, what is wrong with you? She just existing, and you're hating her like there's no tomorrow. » Swiss said to Sodo, who refused to look at anybody.
I sighed and focused on the guitar I was holding right now. After a few more minutes, we continued playing.
Once practice was over, I left the practice room and headed straight to me, Mountain, and Rain's room. I closed the door behind me as I got into the room and lied down in my bed, and stared at the ceiling, trying to think of a logical reason as to why Sodo would hate my guts. I couldn't even think of anything. Barely a few seconds later, I heard knocking on the door. I looked at the door and eventually spoke.
« Come in. » I said as I sat up.
« It's Mountain. I just wanted to know if you were alright. You left the room without saying anything, Sodo made you upset, didn't he? » Mountain asked as he came in the room and crouched next to my bed to be at the same height as me.
No, cause that motherfucker was tall as hell. What does he even eat?
« Yeah... » I said, frowning slightly.
« Don't pay attention to him. He's probably just seeking attention. I also just wanted to let you know that if you need to talk, I'm here for you. » He said, sitting next to me and putting a hand on my shoulder.
He smiled at me before patting my shoulder and leaving the room as he figured I probably wanted some time alone. I smiled as I remembered how much all the ghouls, well except one, cared for me and loved me. It was just my first day with them, and I already felt like I was home. Eventually, I fell asleep while lying in bed as I seemed to have zoned out and just... fell asleep. It was kinda late after all, so it was okay.
「The next morning」
I woke up rather early because I heard shouting in the living room. At first, I was worried as I thought the ghouls were arguing, which was in a way true, but it turns out that they were just playing a game of Monopoly. I never understood this game, honestly... I got out of bed and changed into clothes that Cirrus let me borrow since I didn't have mine just yet, considering the fact that I got here right after the concert.
Once I walked out of the room, I made my way into the kitchen, where I found Cirrus, Cumulus, and Sunshine sitting at the table and chatting. I decided to join them, hoping I wouldn't intrude.
« Good morning, Neptune! » Cirrus said.
« Did you sleep well? » Sunny asked.
« Yeah, slept well, thanks. » I answered Sunshine as I took a seat at the table with them and smiled.
« Hope you're okay, because of what happened yesterday. You can tell us if Sodo is annoying you, we can make him learn a lesson! » Cumulus said as Cirrus and Sunshine agreed with her.
« No, it's okay, thanks, tho. He's just being a douchebag... » I said, chuckling a little as I saw how they were being very serious about giving Sodo a lesson.
