I don't really remember all that much, a lot of it is just strange and large black silhouettes. I'd rather not try to remember what happened before now either.
. . .
"....you're my fav.... Yknow that, right? You're going to be ok witho... e.. ok? Love you.."
I was screaming when they pulled the trigger on her. The sound was sharp and loud. It hurt. She was my sister... and just because she had a mind, they killed her. They were trying to hold me back until Lucinde came in. She was too late, though. She was already dead. It was a couple more seconds of pure black, and then we were running. The air smelled sharp and thick, like smoke. The laboratory where we had lived was burning. My eyes were watering, and I could barely breathe. Lucinde, with the way they had changed and morphed her with surgeries and experiments, tried to shield my eyes and me from the random fires. Her arms, she could change them into water and create these strange but wondrous water limbs that could whip and stretch and heal. Because of that, her formerly dirty blonde hair changed into blue dripping hair, like the water that she could form and melt herself into. It was dark, long, and cold the longer it got, but the higher and shorter you went, the lighter it got and almost evaporated off of her. I really loved her hair.
We got to an elevator. I couldn't see well but I thought we were going to be ok. I heard the stomps of the heavy boots of the men who kept this place hidden and secure and the men who've I've ever seen beyond thick glass walls. They were yelling at Lucinde. Don't yell at her I thought, she hadn't done anything wrong. A few more seconds of blackness later and I was being thrown into the elevator. Lucinde was scared but she threw me far and smashed the buttons on the control panel to send me down. She smiled at me and said something. I don't know what she said. She started to cry? The doors were closing too fast. I blacked out again. The doors opened and I remembered the triplet sisters. Were they ok? I hope they were. It was burning and smoking more violently on the first floor. I just started to run and when I found the dim light of twilight outside, I ran towards it, ran through cars in the lots, around planters and over the tall fence that lined the perimeter.
My feet hit cold and soft ground and I raced again through the trees and sharp pine needles that tried to cut my feet. I don't know how fast I ran. I don't remember how far either. I ran and ran until I collapsed. I don't remember where though. I was just done and spent. I didn't know where Lucinde was or if she was ok. I didn't know where the triplets were or if they were ok. Those small kids that they had just brought in. Were they ok? Or was it a dream and I'd wake up again in that same pitch white room with my sister and Lucinde? It hurts to try to remember. It hurt to think in general. I remembered big tall green pine trees, until everything faded out to a warm darkness.

FMe and my dad were coming back from a fishing trip at his favorite lake. I always at first never wanted to go, but as soon as I got out there with him, it was always so much fun. My dad had this old rusty green and blue truck, which every time he would turn right anywhere, the axles and brakes would hiss and whine with this horrible screech. I was just messing with a hook and knot that I was struggling with earlier. I kept scratching and nicking my fingers, but I wasn't about to give up because I had been at it for two hours and my dad laughed at me. I was not going to let him see me fail at a tie and hook that seems so easy to him. I'm pretty sure my tongue was sticking out as I thought about how to do the knot and I heard Dad snicker besides me. "Hey I'm trying, leave me alone-" I huffed. "Alright alright, but when we get home you're gonna have to put that up and take care of those nicks." He smiled as he took one of the familiar turns to where we lived. "Yeah yeah I know..."
I kept working on it for about another ten minutes. "Hey, I forgot to ask, but what would you want for dinner? I didn't really plan that far ahead." Dad looked at me for just a few moments. "I don't know.. maybe pizz-" I looked up at the road. "Dad-!" I yelled. He looked in front and stomped on the brakes hard. My seatbelt was loose, but it tightened quickly after I almost flew forward. Dad slapped an arm across my chest to keep me from flying just as an instinct and the brakes screamed. "You ok-??" Dad asked as he was trying to see what was in the road. "Yeah I'm ok.." I let out. Dad's eyes were looking too far ahead to see what I saw. It was a girl. In gray pajamas. Passed out in the middle of the road. "What is- oh shit-! Stay here, Fei-. " Dad unblocked himself and slipped out of the car, keeping his eyes on the girl. I scooted my seat up to see better. I couldn't see her face, but she seemed about my age, maybe a few years younger, matted bright blonde hair, and compared to my dad who was a pretty tall guy, she seemed insanely tiny.
