. . .
Meran came home after hanging out with Momo and Kaisen to find Feiten still messing with the air conditioning unit. Now he was up on a step stool, obviously hasn't called the air conditioning people, and sticking his tongue out in thought. "You still didn't call them??!" Meran half yelled which caused Feiten to pause in his tracks. "Ehehe..." He slowly turned towards her, a wrench hanging from his mouth. "You're back... did you have fun??" Feiten grinned nervously. She saw a few scrapes on his arms and raised an eyebrow looking up to him. He continued to look at her nervously while she looked down to his scrapes and back to his face, demanding an explanation for why he was hurt. He finally caught onto what she was gesturing to. "O-oh that- i uh- cut my hands and arms on the sharp bits hehe.." He smiled and got down from the stool. "I'll figure it out later.. Where did you go?" Meran debated telling him that she went to Tiago's store and a tattoo shop. She thought for a little too long about what to say because Feiten all up in her face, a questionable expression painted on his face. "Where did you go, Meran??" Feiten grinned, knowing that she definitely went somewhere questionable. "U-uhm... a tattoo shop.." She backed up because she could feel the lecture coming on. Feiten paused, took in the information and stepped back with his eyebrows furrowed. "Was it with the dude from yesterday who gave you that piece of paper??" He turned his head slightly, and Meran could tell he was still skeptical of Momo. Meran nodded. "He's nice and silly though..." Feiten's eyes widened slightly. "Are you just saying that so that I won't get mad or is he actually??" He asked, and narrowed his eyes again. "He is actually..! He offered to cover up this thing.." She tapped on her wrist to where the numbers that lay embedded in her skin. "...Really?" Feiten calmed down hearing this, but still didn't let go of his suspicions. Meran nodded and grabbed his shoulders to tell him it was fine. "He told me he wasn't gonna do it if I just rushed into it, so I waited to come home and tell you he was a nice person beforehand.." She shook him a little bit, however was mostly unsuccessful as he was way taller than her.
Feiten sighed and nodded. "I'm going with you when you go to get it done.. Just to make sure." He smiled softly which in turn made Meran smile as well. "Anyways.. There isn't much in the way of dinner.. Wanna go out?" He asked as he picked up and put away the remainder of his wrenches and screwdrivers. "Sure... where are we supposed to go then..?" "I was thinking we could check out that secret bar Torain was talking about!" He grinned mischievously. It was then and there Meran confirmed that Feiten was actually crazy. "No." "Why not??" "She said not to look for it! And you don't even know where it is!!" She barked, trying to get another batshit crazy idea out of his head. "Awww c'mon! It can't be that bad!" He smiled, knowing that he was being insane. "I think it WILL be that bad!!" Meran waved her hands in front of her. "Ok the worst that could happen is that those Three Gods are old creepy white guys. And if they are, we leave immediately!" It was Meran's turn to have skepticisms. "Are you sure you didn't eat a weird mushroom for lunch??" She in a borderline hiss. "Either that or we go to the crowded and messy grocery store." He pulled the forbidden public grocery store card. They both knew what he was doing and only one party was pleased with what he was doing. Meran opened her mouth to speak but then there was a knock on the door. Meran and Feiten snapped their attention to the door, eyes wide and worried. Meran slowly moved behind Feiten, feeling like even though they were behind the door and probably couldn't see in, she moved like they were watching her. "I-is it t-those Lux people Miss Torain was t-talking about-?" She whispered shakily while she held onto his arm. "I don't know.. Don't mo-" "It's me, open the damn door." A deep, raspy feminine voice rumbled through their minds. The two instantly relaxed hearing Torain's voice, and sighed a heavy sigh of relief. Feiten stepped to the door, opening it for the tall woman, who was smoking another cigarette. She wasn't stepping inside because she was respecting the fact that the two weren't smokers, and she wasn't about to sully their pure space with smoke. Meran appreciated that silently.
