{Katherines POV}

I sat on the bleachers, watching scott, joel and shelby being idiotically competitive with eachother, jimmy and lizzie were sitting next to me, chatting away. 
I was admiring shelbys grace... her last name made sense.
Shelby Grace.. and she was ever so graceful with the ball on the court~

"I refuse to believe the person who was out for eighteen weeks and can still barely run just beat me" joel complained, i laughed
"your just mad im better than you joel" scott teased
"you are captain for a reason" shelby smiled, scott chuckled.
But shelbys smile.. it was soft and her eyes filled with joy..
oh her eyes! they were light brown with a subtle hazel hue.. you could see them from a mile away.. pure beauty?

"YOU HAVE METAL ON YOUR BONES AND YOU STILL BEAT US- HOW?!" Joel questioned and scott smiled
"did you forget i was an acrobat joel?" he smirked
"crap- uh- kinda-" joel laughed, shelby joined them.. her laugh..
so.. soft and .. gorgeous.. oh just like her hair and eyes!!
pure beauty.. and her freckles?! and the gorgeous purple and green swirls that traced her arm
the gorgeous white streak that traced her hair 
the basketball uniform that fit her perfectly, ball tucked under her arm
the natural blush tracing underneath her freckles..
i didnt even notice i was staring hastily into her gorgeous eyes

"katherineeeeeee?" lizzie called and i knocked out of my trance 
"oh uh- uh- yeah lizzie?!" i acted fast to seem normal
"you good-? youve been staring at shelby the whole time scott and joel have been fighting about the win-" lizzie sighed
"and your blushinggg~" jimmy teased
"shut uppp- both of you- im fine-" i sighed
"okaaaayayy" lizzie smirked and i picked up on what shelby was implying to the two, which was basically a one sided argument joel-scott

"okay joel, calm down- he won because he has been playing for much longer than us- and the metal and surgeries do. not. matter. hes still our team captain for a reason, and that will not and never change. " shelby hissed, scott grabbed her shoulder and she grabbed his hand. the height difference between the two was quite funny.
Scott being 6'3 and shelby being 4'11
Though her height didnt concern me..
she was still drop dead gorgeous
"fine- but i challenge you two to a rematch, effective immediately!" joel smirked and grasped onto the ball from under shelbys arm
"oh your on~" shelby hissed and the two got into place
"yea.. im gonna stay out of this..-" scott mumbled, backing off the court, though i could tell it was some kind of excuse, though the two were in so much of a mode they just nodded and both began to play

(A/N, next chapter will be a scott pov of this chapter, though this is our nature wives time so ill shut up now)

 
Shelbys eyes glittered under the harsh light of the gym, jimmy had flown down to check on our cyanette friend, but i watched in awe as the two went back and fourth attempting to score on one another.
shelby ended up with the win as i cheered for her, joel was still angry and salty but that was just joel-

i waved her over as she climbed the bleachers, i handed my girlfri- friend.. just friend.. water as she sat down next to me 

"thank you kathy!" she smiled and i exchanged it, before long we were walking back to the student center, just chatting away, but shelby had waved someone over, i was confused by that
he had black hair with greens at the tips, his eye was a dark cyan and the other was covered by a ripped vail, he kinda looked like scott-?
was this her boyfriend?! oh god..
"Katherine, meet scotts alter ego" she joked
"shelby.. i swear to god if you want me to stop using my necromancy... you will stop making that joke." he hissed, in scotts exact voice
"are you just- emo scott-?" i quizzed
"for the living deads sake... im not emo! i dont even have control over when i go like thissss" he complained
"you dont?" i asked
"if i did i would not be like this right now-" he sighed
"does this have to do why you sat out on shelby and joels rivalry?" i asked
"oh i- uhm- no- thats just a uhm.. them thing-" he made an excuse once more, i just nodded
he nudged her in the shoulder just before teleporting away in a green cloud 
"katherine.. oh my mushrooms.. uhm.. would you like to go on a walk with me.. or maybe yknow hang out.. sometime" she mumbled
"well i have time right now!" i chuckled as she flushed bright pink
"its a date?" she murmured
"its a date" i replied and grabbed her hand 
"come on! i have a spot" she smiled and reached into her bag for a second before grabbing out a folded object as it glowed for a second and turned into a broom
"you okay with flying?" she smiled
"yes maam!" i smiled

we talked on her broom, the cape of my lavender dress flowed along the side
it was purely relaxing, just being in the air and letting our hair flow free, her large green floral hat ide made for her stayed perfectly fit to her head while in the air.
eventually we landed.
it was a large cobblestone bridge covered in mangrove roots and vines
dark waters flowed beneath us as lilly pads were to float along the shallow waters
bright pink lotus flowers sat next to them, small orange and green frogs could be seen jumping along the edges of the shallow rocky water
her hand rested on mine, my hands were covered in white lace gloves that were now being touched by my long lived crush..

"its nice here isnt it" shelby spoke up
"it is.. its so peaceful" i smiled and she leaned closer to me
"you were amazing earlier" i complimented
"thank you kath but really its just some- silly game i do for fun" she laughed
"that your amazing at!" i smiled
"JUST DATE ALREADY" scotts voice echoed, shelby looked behind us 
"i hate when you do that" she scoffed
"your just salty stormie~" he laughed
"and do not call me that!!" she laughed, i joined
"i think its quite cute" i smiled and she blushed
"i- y-you do?" she stuttered
"for berthas sake just date eachotherrrr" he scoffed
"as a matter of fact i do.. and shelby grace- will you go out with me?! like.. on an official date.." i smiled and was surprised when she jumped on me 
"YES YES YES YES OF COURSE I WILL!!" she squealed excitedly 

we went along with our day holding hands and picking lilies, lilacs, sage and red mushrooms creating the perfect bouquet that now sits on the coffee table in our dorm.
We baked cookies and watched a movie that night, now here i am four days later shopping with Lizzie, Scott, Gem and Pearl at a dress shop for me and shelbys first official date..
