(This is pretty short and not proof read so please let me know if I made any mistakes :])
You await on your front porch, luggage to your side. After submitting an application to Castle Dimitrescu, and getting the letter back that you were accepted, you imeadietly started packing your bags.
"Where do you think you're going?" Your mother hissed. You let out a deep sigh. "Castle Dimitrescu. I'm a maid." You responded quietly.
"And you didn't tell us?!" She barked, aggressively stepping towards you. You stepped back, avoiding eye contact.
"Well?" She asked. You lowered your head. "I'm sorry" you choked out, tears forming in your eyes. Your mother shook her head. "How do you think we feel?" She snarled, clenching her fists.
You started to cry. "I-im sorry" you choked out. She was silent. You slowly lifted your head, only to be struck across the face by her palm.
You stumbled backwards, falling down the stairs, into the grass. Luckily, the carriage arrived just in time. Two, large black steeds carrying it. The whole carriage seemed to be embroidered with gold.
You scrambled up and hurriedly grabbed your luggage, throwing it into the back seat. You jumped in next to your bags and slammed the door shut.
As the carriage began to move, you let out a sigh of relief, not daring to look out the window. You began to sob, realizing that you can never go back now.
Maybe you didn't want to.
You didnt want to.
Never again.
As you sobbed, you heard someone clear their throat. You jumped and straightened up.
"Wonderful first impression. Bravo" a sarcastic girl in a black cloak chimed, slow clapping. Blood was smeared all over her face.
You backed up against the door. "W-who are you?" You asked, terrified. The ginger haired girl giggled. "Mother asked me to accompany our driver, and make sure you cooperate." She answered. She held out her gloved hand."Daniela Dimitrescu" she announced herself.
You slowly took her hand and shook it. She was cold. Very cold. "(Y/n)" you answered timidly. "Ooohhh! You're scared! Mother's going to loooooove you" she chuckled, kicking her feet excitedly.
You gulped nervously. You ignored the teenager and looked out the window, watching the sun set. Daniela rolled her eyes and went back to reading her book.
"Wake up, sleepy head." You heard a voice chime. You groggily opened your eyes to meet glowing, yellow orbs. You jumped and hid your face in your arms. Daniela laughed hysterically. "Someone's jumpy! We're here" she exclaimed, hopping out of the carriage.
The doors to the tall, extravagant castle, flew open. Two swarms of flies darted out and flew around Daniela. These two swarms materialized into two girls, simular to Daniela. "Dani!" One exclaimed happily, hugging the girl.
After a good couple seconds, the girls all began to turn around. They completely forgot about you. One stalked over to you. She was simular to Daniela, only blonde.
"Oh! Bela, you'll love her. She gets scared easily".
Bela smiled deviously. The other two girls waltzed over.
Within a second, the blonde whipped out a sickle and pressed its curved blade against the side of your neck.
You stood frozen, like a cornered animal. Tears began to fall from your eyes as you witnessed your blood begin to leak onto your chest.
Your knees gave in, and you fainted.
The last thing you could see, despite your blury vision, were the three girls. They all stood around you, wide eyed. They stared at you like you were a broken vase. They knew their mother would not be pleased.
You slowly opened your eyes, taking in the new surroundings. You are spread out on a white plush couch, with a soft blanket thrown over your form. Across the room, was a fireplace.
Your head and eyes hurt badly. You tried to massage your temples, but that didn't help. You groaned quietly and shuffled up.
"I do apologize for my daughters actions. They can't seem to control themselves around new maidens" a deep, silky, feminine voice whispered.
You jumped and squeaked a little at the unnoticed visitor. Jolting like that only made your head feel worse. You buried your face in your hands and pulled at your hair, frustrated.
"Look at me." The voice demanded. You felt a cold, gloved finger lift your chin up. Your jaw dropped. What stood in front of you was the lady of the house. Although you did not expect her to be this... tall.
"I-Im so sorry, my lady. I didn't mean to-" you stammered, but she put her finger to your lips. "Hush, maid. I am not angry with you." She assured.
She held out a large hand. "Come, let me show you your quarters. You may rest for the day there. Tomorrow you can begin your work." You nodded and slowly took her hand, trying to get up.
Your knees shook, due to your exhaustion. You almost fell until she catches you. "Want me to carry you there?" She offered. "Yes please" you replied, your cheeks flushing in embaressment.
She scooped you off your feet and began to walk to your new room. Though her hands were cold, her chest was definitely warmer. As she walked, the swaying movements lulled you to sleep in her arms.
You wish your mom would've held you like this.
She would leave you in your crib when you cried.
And let you sob and scream.
Her cigarettes mattered more.
Your dad was always passed out drunk.
You were always so cold and scared.
But now, you felt warm and safe. Even I'm the arms of a 9'6 mutated vampire lady.
