You placed your hand on the door knob, turning it, and stepping into the library. You looked over at the tables. Daniella wasn't there anymore. 'Probably woke up and went back to her usual chaos' You thought.

You walked over to the loveseat by the fire and picked up a book. You curled up and began reading peacefully, trying to forget what happened.

As you flipped the pages, images of her kept popping up in your mind. You couldn't concentrate. You got frustrated and put the book back.

You hopped off the loveseat and left the room, going to look for Brianna.

While walking, you stopped by the window to take a look outside. The sun was starting to set. It looked gorgeous outside.

'It's been a while since I've been outdoors' you thought, watching a flock of crows fly in the sky.

After not being able to find Brianna, you headed for the doors to the courtyard. You wanted to get some fresh air.

You opened the doors and took a step out. The air was warm, and there was a slight breeze. It was peaceful.

You sat down in the grass and watched more crows go by.

Then you felt a chill.

You heard a small chuckle behind you.

You slowly turned around, your heart dropping.

Cassandra stood behind you. Grinning, with a sickle in her hand and blood smeared on her face.

"Run" she ordered.

You sprang up ran down the trail, almost tripping on the steps.

Cassandra sprinted behind you, laughing hysterically. You kept running and running, trying to get away from the threat.

As you booked down the trail, you made a hard right into the wooded area. She transformed into a swarm of flies and surrounded you.

You panicked and swatted at them. You couldn't see where you were going. Your foot got caught on a tree root, and you tripped.

The flies disappeared, but you tumbled down a steep hill. Rocks and earth pounded against your body. You cried and screamed for help. Nobody answered.

Your body crashed against a tree, finally coming to a stop. Your vision was blury. You were terrified.

You then heard footsteps. Your eyes went wide and you crawled behind the fallen log next to you.

Your body shook and your lip quaked. 'Why is this happening to me?' You asked yourself, tears silently streaming down your face.

As you heard more footsteps, you pushed yourself closer against the log. But as you moved, a twig snapped. Your face went pale and the footsteps stopped. Every ounce of air left your lungs.

The footsteps continued again and got closer. This was it. This was the day you would die.

You felt a looming shadow. You didn't dare look up.

"(Y/n)? What happened?" A familiar voice asked.

You looked up to see your mistress. Her eyebrows were furrowed in confusion. You scrambled up against the tree.

"M-mistress! I'm so sorry! I-I didn't mean to-" you stumbled. She stepped forward angrily. "Why would you go outside?! Maidens aren't allowed beyond the castles doors!" She snarled.

Tears streamed from your face. "Im sorry! I just wanted some fresh air, and-" you choked out. She shook her head and sighed. "Save it. Can you walk?" She asked.

You struggled up, you legs giving out beneath you. You used the tree to help yourself balance.

"Are you sure?" She asked sternly. You silently nodded, more tears filling your eyes. "Lets go" she ordered.

You followed behind her, eyes glued to the ground. You asked yourself why she was suddenly so cruel to you.

'Because it's your fault' your mind told you. 'It's always your fault'.

You clenched your jaw and weakly clamped your fists. You stopped dead in your tracks.

Your Mistress notices you stopped following. She turned around.

"Whats your problem now?" She asked, annoyed. You were trembling. After a while of silence, she stepped towards you, furious.

"I asked what your problem was! Don't ignore your mistress" she hissed. Her facial expression dropped from angry to remorseful.

You dropped to your knees and began to sob. "I-im sorry. I'm so sorry. I-I I'm so s-stupid." You choked out, covering your face with your hands.

She bent down and removed your hands from your face. "Oh, sweet girl" she cooed, tears welling in her golden eyes. "You shouldn't be the one who's sorry" she whispered.

She pulled you into a hug. You gripped onto her and let out broken sobs. "I'm sorry! I-im sorry!" You yelled. She stroked your back, shushing you.

As Alcina comforted you, her golden orbs noticed a crow sitting on a branch, watching.

Her eyes narrowed. Her attention then returned to you.

"I am so sorry, my sweet mouse" she apologizes, giving the top of your head a small kiss.

You both stayed like that for a while.

Alcinas pov:

As I held onto my upset maiden, I lifted my head again to stare at the crow.

'You don't get to tell me how to treat my maidens.'
