"Remember to do your homework for next week's class," Mr Hughes said as Ciel basically rushed him out of the manor through the front door. It was already 12 pm. Lessons were over. Ciel had no need for him in his house anymore. Yet, he still wouldn't stop talking. Ciel had to usher him out himself since Sebastian wasn't here to handle it. The moment he needed him the most and he wasn't here.
Bloody hell.
"Yes, yes, I'll do just that," Ciel told Mr. Hughes as he rushed the old man out of the front door. He gave Mr. Hughes a fake smile and waved to him as he walked away. "Goodbye, Mr. Hughes."
After guiding Mr. Hughes out of his mansion, Ciel slammed the door shut. He pressed his back against the door and sighed in relief. Thank goodness. Ciel thought he'd never leave. Now he could focus on preparations for their guest. First, he needed to make a phone call. To Chlaus.
Surely, he would give Ciel the details of this Lord Damiano fellow. If he were to receive this Italian man as their guest, he must be informed about whom he'd be dealing with tonight.

"Yes...Yes, of course, I understand perfectly, Chlaus," Ciel said as he was talking to Chlaus on the telephone. "It's a pity you won't be joining us for dinner tonight..." He smirked a little. "I'm sure you would enjoy tonight's entertainment... Don't worry, I'll let you know when it's done. I'll make sure our guest receives the proper Phantomhive treatment. You can be certain of that.... A good day to you as well, Chlaus."
With that, he hung up.
Ciel stepped out of the telephone room, which was hidden behind the foyer staircase so it wouldn't be seen. To offer privacy to guests if they wanted a phone call to family or friends.
However, as Ciel walked down the foyer, he stopped in his tracks. He looked up at the wall at the top of the stairs. There was that painted portrait of his parents, his dog and of...well, Ciel Phantomhive himself. All of them together. Smiling. A once happy family. Honestly, it wasn't entirely happy. His brother wasn't there. Because he was sick that day. As always. Asthma. It saddened Ciel that his brother couldn't be present. Since the fire, it was like he was erased from existence. Forgotten by everyone. Any time his family visited, they always talked about his parents but never his brother. Not once. It was like they willingly wiped their memories of him. He wasn't very much loved by the rest of the family. So, why would they bother remembering him?Ciel clenched his fists tightly. He couldn't bare to look at that portrait. The constant reminder of how his brother was left out of everything and now forgotten by society. How Ciel and his parents just sat there and let the painter do his job instead of rescheduling because the youngest child fell ill. It made Ciel feel sick. I don't want this shite on my wall anymore. Where the fuck is Sebastian? I need him to get rid of this painting right now. If they can't bother to remember their own family member, then there's no reason for this shite to be here.

Ciel stormed into the kitchen, ready to yell at Sebastian, only to find Baldroy and Tanaka cooking. Well, it was only Baldroy cooking. He was cutting the tender beef into thin slices. Tanaka simply sat back in his wheelchair (as if he had any other choice) and instructed Baldroy how to cut the meat.
"Remember, don't cut the meat too thick or it will be too tough for the guest to chew," Tanaka instructed.
"I'm doing it exactly as you said," Baldroy.
"Baldroy!" Ciel snapped as he marched over to the cook. It was when he further entered the kitchen that he noticed all the soot covering the wall and flour all over the floor. "What the bloody hell happened in here?"
