Being back in New York would usually drive me crazy because my mind would keep me occupied with Harry.

Instead, I had Halloween to think, or stress, about because I had waited last minute to find a costume.

"Ok, so we are going to a party Friday, and Saturday then Sunday there's two we can chose from. Monday, your birthday!! Do we want to stay in and celebrate or go out?" Kate asked, trying to plan out our entire upcoming week.

"We can go out on Monday, gosh i'm going to be so drunk this weekend." I sighed, "What happened to the plans of carving pumpkins and doing a movie marathon?"
"Becca insists we go. You don't have to party this weekend if you don't want too."
"No, I want to go. I just don't know about four parties in a row." I say doubtfully, I don't know if my brain could handle that, or my liver.

"It does seem like a bit much, but we are making memories. Do you have costumes?" Kate sits down on the couch next to me, raising a spoon of cereal to her mouth.
"Hot cop, Witch, Cowgirl." I say to the ceiling.
"You need one more."
"I'll just dress slutty, that counts on Halloween." I said and Kate didn't argue.

It was Wednesday, today and tomorrow were my party free days, and then Monday was my birthday. My brother says it's bad luck for me to be born on Halloween, but I think he's just jealous I got a cool day.

Halloween usually was something I loved, I usually wouldn't shut up about it when October started. It's been that way since I was a kid. Slowly, i've started itching for Christmas. I don't know why, but this year I don't care about dressing up and getting drunk. Instead, I care about snow and dressing warm.
