Y/n's eyes opened slightly as she gave a small groan in a whine. The lights were bright in her face as she squirmed slightly on the bed she was laying on, but it wasn't the one she was sleeping on at the tower. In a slight panic she whined a bit more trying to force her eyes open before a voice shushed her a bit.

"Hey, hey. Calm down, darling. You're alright" Loki spoke softly as his hands gently brushed the hair from y/n's face as she settled a bit. "Your head got hurt pretty good, so I need to you stay still okay love?" Loki asked as y/n ever so gently nodded as her eyes slowly adjusted to the light. She looked around to see she was in Bruce's lab, she remembered when she had to get her leg all fixed up and better.

"what happened?" Y/n softly spoke as her voice cracked, which broke Loki's heart watching her. He gently helped her sit up a bit in the bed so she could see better. Loki started to explain, after she got hurt, he took care of the metal man with the help of Tony, The Hulk and Thor. The others were buys off doing something else that was happening, but that didn't matter. They had learned the metal man was named Ultron and was set on wiping humanity off the planet and only have machines run the earth. As the Hulk held the beaten down Ultron on the ground, with Tony and Thor on either side of him just in case. Loki walked up and placed his hands around his head, with a evil looking smirk on his face. Loki had stopped his story watching y/n's face turn from listening to one full of fear for what was coming next.

"Sorry little one, I'm sure you can fill in the rest. I didn't mean to scare you." Loki spoke as he gave a small sad smile to her, before telling her after all of that they tried to put him in a different holding room but wouldn't let go of her once he was back at her side. Y/n was placed in Bruces lab just before getting rid of the one responsible for the chaos that exploded and was immediately looked after until Bruce had to go and help save the day. She had laid there for only a few moments until someone medically trained came to the ruined tower to check her over. It was someone that Tony and Bruce knew and asked them to do what they needed to make sure y/n was okay. They did what they needed to get her stable, and to the point where she just had to wake up. After the fight was over, Loki kept throwing fit after fit as Thor tried dragging him away and ended up sucker punching Thor right in the nose before storming off. Loki then went to sit beside y/n on the bed, in a chair. He told them that he was not moving from that spot until she woke up, he needed to see her awake and well. Thor saw something different in his brother, he saw a kind heart that he never saw before and decided to leave him be. But would keep a close eye on Loki while Loki was technically free do to what ever he wanted. With another sad smile for what was next, Loki told y/n that he hadn't moved in the last 4 days from her bed side. Her eyes went wide as she looked around for a second before back to Loki.

"Four daaaayyyyssss?! I was asleep for that long?!" She squeaked out as her voice crackled slightly; the medication she was being given had made her a little loopy but pain free. "that's like....all my life."

"Not quite, Love. But everything around here is fixed, and I believe the avengers have a surprise for you, when you're able to get up on your own. If I overheard them right." Loki chuckled at her words before he took her hand into his and watched her face carefully. "Y/n, little one, I am happy to see you awake" He spoke softly to her as she looked up to him with a small smile.

A few days later, it finally came to when y/n was free to leave the medical room as she wished. She spent the days with Loki by her side. They played games, they talked all night, they watched movies together. Loki did everything in his power to keep her occupied and happy, not to mention distracted from the pain when the drugs started to ware off. Loki was showing a whole new side of him, a caring side that seemed to love the little girl in front of him. He even let her dress him up as a cat, just to hear her giggle. Y/n even came to enjoy Loki's company very much, and she didn't want to spend her days with anyone else. Though Tony and Bruce came in and out, and Thor always kept a distance but close enough to tame his brother if needed. They always came to check on little y/n, make sure she wasn't hurting and that she was getting better.
