Hi friends,
This is a heavy time but as I've said, what's most important through all of this is giving a voice to the voiceless. And so, I'd like to share about a cool tool I came across this morning. It's called "Queering the Map". It's a community generated mapping project which geo-locates queer moments all around the world. It's almost a... real-time archive, if you will? I'm sure there's a better word for it. Anyways, with "Queer the Map" you can view anonymous messages from all people around the world. It's an important reminder that each of us are experiencing this life. This loss. This love. I've said before that grief is just love persevering, and so-- let it persevere.
all love,
Astoria <3

"The place where you died, even though we were only penpals, I love you to my core, 5 years of the best friendship. Ahmad died of the airstrike, you died of the heartbreak. Khalid I love you, I love the way you came out to me, how I came out to you, how you introduced Ahmad as your boyfriend, I wanted to share your hurts with me, but we're seas apart, I'll free Palestine just for your eyes. I hope you rest well in heaven, kiss Ahmad all you want, and be very happy, in this life or another I'll follow you, and we can unite, I love you to Icarus and beyond [pink heart emoji]"
