This story is the first of the new trainer Kiara's travels through the wonderful world of Pokemon. Follow her as she goes across the region battling gyms, meeting pokemon and chasing after her dream of meeting the Pokemon of her dreams... Regigigas...
We find our hero as she departs at last from pallet town, beginning on their path towards Viridian City where they will register for the Pokémon League. But for now, this bright eyed girl has the present matters of Route 1 to attend to!
Kiara was laughing out loud as she finally stepped free from Pallet Town, her face glowing with jubilation as she sprinted along the dirt path and through the tall grasses that marked the outskirts of the decently sized township. Since coming to Kanto from Nimbassa City in Unova, she'd not seen the outside of Pallet, her parents always insisting that there was nothing worth seeing and keeping her within arm's reach. But now that she was free to pursue her dreams, nothing would stop her from here on out!
"Come on Pudding! Let's go!" The blonde would look down towards her Buneary partner as they sprinted onward, passing by rattata and roosting pidgey all along the way, even the occasional hoppip being carried through the skies above from Johto
It wasn't for another few minutes that she'd come to a halt, pointing towards a rattata that Kiara spoke up again "Hey, think we should try and catch them Pudding?"
Meanwhile she pulled out her Pokédex to check the little creature's entry "A Forest Pokémon, Rattata. It likes cheese, nuts, fruits, and berries. It also comes out into open fields to steal food from travelers."
Immediately her partner jumped forward and her smile spread widely "Neary!" While smacking a little fist into an equally little palm as if to transmit that they thought it would be easy
"Awesome! That case, start us off with pound! Lunge hard for it!" Kiara swung her arm outward while directing her companion who'd swiftly comply, rushing forward towards the rattata and jumping into the air in order to slam her fist down hard on the mouse pokemon... only to miss entirely as the rattata as it jumped backward took off into the brush to scurry away.
After that she would hear a chuckle from behind her, making Kiara turn around and look upwards at the tall boy who seemed to be around her age spoke "Usually it's a smart idea to try a ranged attack against the more jumpy types like that. Rattata tend to be pretty skittish when they have something charging at them head on while they're alone."

"That so? I mean guess it makes sense... so it gives me less time to react I assume?" Kiara lifted an eyebrow while thinking over the advice, albeit she certainly hadn't asked for it
But he didn't waste time, simply nodding "Yep! Here, watch and I'll show you." He drew out a ball "Come out Smoochum, I need a hand."
From the ball came a little baby form Pokémon, pink skin, blue eyes and big pink lips being the most immediate features as it looks up at its master in anticipation for his order. Just from looking at them, the bond they shared was incredibly evident in its strength.
Again Kiara drew out her Pokédex to see what it had on the strange creature before her "Smoochum, the Kiss Pokémon. The pre-evolved form of Jynx. This sweet-natured Pokémon has sensitive lips, which it uses to explore and examine with."
