Within a convention center...
It was the middle of midnight, inside the convention center. The place had an eerie yet quiet tone to it with all the booths being empty accompanied by the pitch, black darkness when suddenly a security guard came into view, walking around with a flashlight in his hand as he was decked out in black work pants, black boots, a hat said security on it and lastly a gray jacket which also said security on both the front and back but on the front were the security guard's name, Martin.
"It's quiet... maybe a little too quiet." Martin said to himself, remaining calm for the most part as he shined his flashlight around, investigating if anybody sneaked in or other suspicious activity.
"Oh who am I kidding? This ain't one of those crappy horror movies, I doubt they'll be anything out of the ordinary." He continued to tell himself, but after saying that, he saw something being thrown in front of him which he pointed his flashlight downward, it was a battery. "What the?" He began to question, wondering why this was thrown in his direction as he looked to the left where the battery was thrown from and saw a booth for a VR game.
The Amazing Digital Circus is what it had called itself, made by the Developers C&A, the booth was decorated with typical circus decorations that would be commonly seen in party stores with a mix of vibrant colors. But what really stood out was the chair with a VR headset attached to it, considering it was a virtual reality game Martin didn't think much of it until his face made a look of suspicion as to who threw the battery, and if it was related to said booth.
"I'm keeping my eyes on you." He said to the booth, shining his flashlight at it to see if somebody would've come out from hiding, no one did unfortunately so he walked away to check up on some other areas, however as he did so the very chair began to glow blue as a strike of blue lightning appeared around it.
