HAN HO-YEOL'S POV:

"Raccoon? Raccoon where are you?" I put my hand on the window of the restroom door in attempt to try and scare the guys in there who were so obviously faking their illnesses and injuries. "Let's find that raccoon," I say trying my best to hold in my laughter.

I push the door open with my 'cleaning supplies' in a small basket.
When they realise it's me a majority of them let a large sighs of relief and temporarily quit their act of trying to appear injured.
"Long time no see." One of the 'injured' soldiers nods leaning on the bathroom sink.
"You startled us," Another lets out a breath of relief. "We thought you were the medical officer."
"That won't make the smell go away." The guy perched in a wheelchair states.

"You know you'll just get sent back to your unit if you get caught." I tell them. "Hey, Mr. Marine corps. Can I get a washcloth?"

"Stop acting like you don't smoke." One of the soldiers says to me but I ignore him as he hands me the cloth.

"Thank you," I say in a mocking tone. "From what I heard, the medical officer is going around today checking for people who smoke," This made the soldiers pause as if to comprehend what I'd just said to them. "Why don't you take a look at my basket," Their eyes all dart to the basket placed beside my feet.

"Ooh..." Their eyes light up.

"But! Each spray will cost you 2,000 won worth of food at the PX. What do you say? Deal?" I throw in the catch.

"Deal!" They all rush over to the basket each taking a spray for themselves.

My job is done. I'll be eating like a king for the next month or so. Or so I thought.

"Officer Han?" My joy is short lived as a doctor bursts into the room. "Officer Han!"
"Me?" I say rather confused as to what is going on.
"Pack your things. The medical officer wants you out." My face fell as I knew that'd mean no more comfy beds and having food brought to me.
"I'm out already?" I question with disbelief.
"He says you're fine and wants you back at your unit."
"Gosh. Why can't he see how hurt I am inside?" I try to make the soldier feel sympathetic. I realise the 'injured' soldiers laughing at me in the corner of my eye.
"Let's all leave together. I caught them all smoking," I tell him.
"You fucking punk!" The guy in the wheelchair gets up walking over to punch me.
"See I told you, no where near injured," I point to him but he knocks me out cold on the ground and that was the last I remember.

HYEON-JU'S POV:

A lot has happened in the past 24 hours. I found out that Jun-ho was put in the D.P. and apparently beat his partner Park Sung-woo, almost to death. I heard he's in the military prison and god knows how long he'll be in there for. If Jun-ho really did this, he'd have a good reason to because he's one of the kindest men I've ever met.

I woke up earlier than everyone else this morning, and I sat up thinking about how life would be right now if I'd just stayed home with mom and my brothers. Mom would probably still be trying to teach me how to make kimchi although she knows I'll probably never get the hang of it no matter how easy she makes it look. I miss home, but I want more in life than to sit comfortably on my father's money.

Captain Chang ordered us to lap 20 times around the courtyard this morning, which definitely woke most of us up for sure. Tonight, I'm on duty at the prison wing of the building so I'll be able to see Jun-ho.

But when we got back from our laps, we found Jun-ho sat staring at a wall.
