(ELLA'S POV)
I'm about to make a speech. I don't want to, but I have to. Nouria suggested that I make a speech about a bunch of things that are affecting the community, like bullying and mental health. I thought it would be easy to make a speech about an issue I struggle with myself. But it isn't. I'm shaking. I can't even breath properly. My anxiety is eating me alive, and I'm letting it. I know I'm stronger than this. I know I can do this, but I don't know how. I can't see or hear anything around me.
Somebody is touching me. I don't know who so I immediately start pushing and kicking. I hear a muffled voice talking to me. It slowly starts to become clearer. "Love, relax. It's just me" he says. He holds onto me tightly.
I hold onto him as hard as I can. I'm so scared. I can't see anything. Aaron rubs his hand on my back, attempting to calm me down. He kisses me softly on my head, reassures me I'll do great on stage. "I promise you, you'll do absolutely amazing. Trust me" he says.
"Juliette, it's your turn" Nouria says. I look at her, then Aaron. "Trust me" he mouths. I walk over to the door to the stage. I sigh. I really don't do well in front of crowds. I open the door and walk on the stage. The audience claps, which makes me even more nervous. I grab the microphone.
"Hello. I'm Juliette Ferrars and I'm here to talk about a topic that really affects our community. Bullying. Why am I talking about this? You may ask. Well. Bullying was a really big part of my school life. And let me tell you. It affected me a lot. I genuinely thought I was worth nothing. And Insecurity can lead to depression and suicidal thoughts and overall it's not good." I start. I finish my speech and leave the stage
As soon as I close the door, Aaron runs up to me and hugs me tightly. "I told you you would do great. Did you hear the audience?" he says. "I wasn't paying attention, why?" I ask. "I think Japan heard them" he says, laughing. "Oh, you joked" I say. He looks at me, confused. "What do you mean? I always joke." he says."Sureee buddy sureee" I say, laughing.
