Unrelated to the story but still important: just a little reminder for whoever needs it and maybe a little for myself too, it's not a bad life just a bad moment, give yourself time, be gentle with yourself, everything will come in it's own time.
Now related to the story: how the hell are we at 64k reads right now? Crying. Love you guys, I've received sooo many messages regarding this book it's just amazing 💗
On to the chapter!!

Elaine's POV
I see how he gets out of the car and as soon as his feet hit the asphalt he falls to his knees, ending up lying on his back.
"Is he alright?" I ask Anthony, who came just this morning to be here for his son during the race.
"Probably exhausted and still in shock, give him a minute and he will be celebrating like his life depends on it" He assured me.
Carlos approaches him and offers him a hand as he hovers over him. Lewis catches it, being pulled by the Spaniard to his feet again.
The two drivers hug each other energetically, the Spaniard giving Lewis a couple of pats on the helmet as they separate.
"See? Still plenty of energy to celebrate" His father said as he climbed onto one of the wheels of the car, throwing his fist at the sky before showing four fingers of each of his hands to the camera that was recording his every move.
He jumped off the wheel back onto the ground before running towards the small fence separating him and us, launching himself into the arms of Toto and the rest of the team.
Someone had brought some small bottles of champagne deciding to start the celebration down here, spraying the driver as soon as he reached the arms of his team.
It was exciting, seeing how all these people feel so ecstatic about this achievement, knowing that the work of the entire team to win both championships has been worth it.
He broke away from the mix of mechanics and engineers for a moment to look around, finally spotting us in the crowd.
He unbuckled his helmet and pulled it off his head, removing the balaclava and tossing it to the side. He ran his hands over his face, I thought it was because of the mix of sweat and champagne, but when I looked closer he was wiping tears from his cheeks, his red eyes contrasting with the shining smile on his face.
First he went for Anthony, embracing him in a hug, I barely understood what they were saying in the noise of the crowd apart from words of gratitude and pride over and over again, after all this title was as much his family's as it was his.
"You deserve this" Anthony said with his hands over his son's shoulders.
"Thank you, for everything" Lewis said with glittering eyes.
He then turned to me, the smile fading from his lips for just a second to wet his lips before giving me a smirk.
"Hey you" He greeted me, positioning himself just in front of me.
"Hey champion"
The hand with which he was not holding the helmet grabbed my chin, pulling me towards him giving me a kiss that left me breathless. At that moment I didn't care about the people around me or the cameras that I'm sure were recording everything. And it seems that he doesn't either since he deepens the kiss, His hand getting lost in my hair while I grab the lapel of his suit. The kiss broke when a smile spread on his lips.
