"Nay rakka rar takkara tar kombat." Cassie tried saying. Baraka was trying to help us learn to speak some Tarkatan. When Cassie misspoke the phrase, he laughed. "Incorrect again. You'll get it eventually." Baraka reassured. I cleared my throat and tried. "Nay akka hataka taha kombat." I said.
"Incorrect again." Baraka said. "You're both close, though."
"Anything simpler we could try?" I asked.
"Yes. Try this: khut. Nar kombat trakka." Baraka said.
"Cut. Nar kombat trakka." Cassie said.
"Not bad at all. Now you, Y/n."
"Cut. Nar kombat trakka."
"Okay, you got that down mostly. Could improve on 'khut' but you're otherwise good with that one." Baraka said. Then he snapped his fingers. We saw something flying our way, and Baraka used his arm blade to catch it. It was a cooked chicken. "You never ate last night. You might want this." He said.
"Oh, thanks." I said. Baraka set it on a plate. I took a piece.
"Give me a second to text Mom. The sun's shining here, it's gotta be in Earthrealm too, right?" Cassie asked. She got up and walked over to our tent to grab her phone. Before she got there, her body shot upwards and she screamed. "Cassie!" I exclaimed as me and Baraka rose up. "Baraka, what was a rope doing here?" I asked. He looked at a certain Tarkatan. He approached him and the two started talking in Tarkatan. Then Baraka ran back over. He jumped up and cut the rope. Cassie fell. She fell into my arms and she landed on her left leg. "Fuck!" She yelled and fell to the ground. I held my hand out and she took it. As she pressure on her left leg, she winced in pain and fell forward towards me. "You alright?" I asked.
"My leg hurts. I think it might be sprained." She said.
"Baraka, do you have a medical place around here?" I asked the Tarkatan as I picked Cassie up and held her in my arms.
"Yes. Come with me." He said.

A stick was tied to Cassie's wrapped leg. "We can't say if it's broken or not, but seeing how she can't seem to put much pressure or walk on it, it most likely is." Baraka said.
"I'm sorry, Cassie." I said.
"No. Don't be. All good. I like being carried around by you anyway." She said with a smile, continuing her trend of making mistakes feel good. Raiden teleported in. "Lord Raiden." Baraka said, holding his arm over his chest.
"Baraka. I hope that Cassie and Y/n were not any trouble." Raiden said.
"They were welcomed guests." Baraka said. "But Cassie might have broken her leg."
"I'll take them back to Earthrealm to check on them." Baraka said.
"Thanks again for the hospitality, Baraka." I said. He nodded. I picked Cassie up and Raiden brought us back to Earthrealm.

Baraka's POV...
I watched Raiden teleport back to Earthrealm with Y/n and Cassie. Nice kids. "Nothing to stop me now, Baraka." I heard in the voice of Shao Kahn. I saw the former emperor walk out. The Tarkatans, all frozen in fear. "What are YOU doing here?" Baraka asked.
"The time keeper, Kronika, brought me here. To eliminate as many threats to her plan as possible." Shao told me. I snapped my fingers and a cooked chicken came to me. I caught it with my hand. "Our new Kahn, Kotal, is a fair leader. One that does not make us slaves, but allies. One that brings peace to the realms. I'll die again before I let you kill him." I said as I threw the chicken at him. He slapped it away, and I leaped at him. I kicked him in the chest. He tried swinging at me with his hammer, but I stopped him by stabbing my arm blade in his shoulder. He kicked me back. The Tarkatans started to unfreeze and attack Shao. He was not able to kill them all, but he managed to take down a few of them. We stood our ground and fought. We could not do much against him, though. "Takar!" I called for retreat. Many of my people retreated with me. Shao managed to throw a spear at one of them, killing them. The rest of us escaped.
