The Portal

I lay down next to a shirtless Cassie. "Damn, that was fun." I said.
"Happy birthday, Y/n." Cassie told me, her chest quickly rising. I pulled her close for another kiss.

Yes, this chapter begins with the evening of the next day at the end of last chapter. And yes, i am proud of how confusing that sounds.

The next day...
I woke up to see Cassie next to me, looking at me with a smile. "Hi." Cassie said.
"Morning, beautiful." I said to her.
"You know, you look really cute when you sleep." Cassie tells me. We share a kiss. I really didn't want to get out of bed. Laying in bed next to Cassie, both of us completely naked was pretty comfortable. "Well, Cassie. Think we should wash off?" I ask.
"Meet me in the shower." Cassie said. She gave me a kiss.

We stepped in the shower. Hot water hit us while we pretty much felt each other's bodies. "Now now, Y/n. We came in here to clean ourselves off." Cassie said.
"I know." I told her. I grabbed the soap and turned Cass around. I started to smear it around her back and clean it for her. "Get mine." I said. She did so. While she was getting my back, i slipped. She caught me before i hit the ground. "Gotcha." Cassie said. I smiled.

We both got out of the shower. I had my towel wrapped around my waist, and Cassie had hers wrapped around her chest under her boobs. "Really testing me this morning, huh?" I asked.
"Yes, and I'm not even a little ashamed." She said as she grabbed a bra. She put it on and dropped her towel. I dropped mine and threw some clothes on. Then we heard a knock on the door. "Cassie! Get on the bed!" I whispered. She put on one of my shirts, then leaped on the bed. I opened our door to see Johnny. "Hi, Johnny." I said.
"Hey, bud. The General says somethings happening outside. Can Cassie walk yet?" He asked. I looked over at Cassie and she nodded. "Yeah, she's all good." I told him.
"Great. I'll meet you two outside." Johnny said. I closed the door. I turned to see Cassie already fully geared up. "Ready?" She asked.
"I don't get how you always do that so fast." I told her. She took my arm and we left to go to the yard.

We got out to see an Outworld portal. Through it came Kitana and Jade. "General Blade." Jade said.
"Jade. Kitana. Whats going on?" Sonya asked.
"Shao Kahn is back." Jade said. Cassie was right. "He attacked the Tarkatans and he's coming to Kotal's Koliseum to take the throne back."
"How do they keep coming back? First, Quan Chi, now Shao Kahn." Takeda said.
"Baraka said Shao Kahn told him about a Titan that is the Keeper of Time, Kronika." Jade told us.
"Johnny, get in contact with Grandmaster Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao." Sonya told him. He nodded and ran inside. "Jade, Kitana, when they get here, we'll find Raiden and we'll go to the Koliseum. We'll ambush Shao Kahn and kill him again before he gets the chance to take the throne." Sonya said.
"Wait, how did you create that portal?" Cassie asked.
"I remember how Quan Chi showed us when we were revenants." Kitana said. Johnny ran back to us right as thunder was shot down. Raiden, Liu Kang and Kung Lao appeared. "General Blade. Kitana." Raiden said.
"Lord Raiden." Kitana said.
"How did this happen? How could Shao Kahn have returned?" Raiden asked.
"The same way Quan Chi did. Through a Titan named Kronika." Kitana said. Raiden froze. "Kronika?" Raiden asked.
"Do you know who she is?" Jade asked.
"She is Shinnok's mother. And Cetrion's. Cetrion has betrayed and killed the Elder Gods." Raiden said. "We must prepare. Grandmaster Hasashi." Raiden said. Hanzo ran over. "Lord Raiden."
"Hanzo, we need you to head to the Netherrealm. Find Kharon. We must go across the sea of blood to get to Kronika."
"I will, Lord Raiden." Hanzo said. He bowed, and then surrounded himself with fire. He disappeared. "The rest of us must go to Kotal's Koliseum. Be prepared to aid Kotal Kahn and defeat Shao Kahn." Raiden said. "After I bring you there, i will get Grandmaster Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei, and Queen Sheeva and the Shokan."
