"Unfortunately, Arael, due to your behavior, we will have to send you to Rehabilitation. You haven't been listening to the orders of the knights and you have been trying to escape the Maternity House. I ask for your understanding. We know these are trying times, especially with Muriel's recent passing, but this behavior is unacceptable nonetheless."
"I'm sorry ma'am, but-" she was rapidly interrupted.
"I have made myself clear enough."
Rabdos retracts and gets up from her chair, leaving the Council room.
The smell of blood and guts still lingers in Arael's mind, as she walks back to her dormitory.
Isda finally seems like she cares for once, and while Arael is packing up her things, steps in.
"Are you okay there?" Her ears lift up.
"Get out, I don't want to talk." She hears after a long pause. "If you want to borrow my things then leave."
"No need to be so rude!" Isda pouts.
"And who even cares anymore..?"
Isda sighs deeply, and soon after leaves the room, seeming no longer worried. Arael makes sure to bring everything, and packs leftover cookies from yesterday separately in a lunchbox.
Arriving at the Rehabilitation Center, she was met with an environment so different from the rest of the Maternity House, it sent shivers down her spine. She could sense judgment in the other angel's eyes. She noticed an older sister, which caught her attention.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" The older girl coincidentally shouts. "Did they send more top floor dwellers to take away our stuff?"
"Uhh... No, I'm just..." Arael retracts. "I'm one of you now."
