Libertas, Tandem.

Chapter one, Episode VII

Arael immediately flinches, as if she got hit by a truck. It was too late to back down now. She sighed deeply, as the girl shook her head.
"W-what happened?" Arael asks the girl, but she just looks down, not saying a word.
"Are you unable to talk?"
The girl then proceeds to nod, still looking away.
Arael sits carefully beside the demon girl, expecting something bad to happen. But nothing of the sort.
"What's your name?" Arael says, speaking under her breath, her fear seemed to slowly have faded away.
"C-C..."
"I-It's okay, you don't need to tell me if you can't." Arael pulls something out of her lunchbox.
"Would you like a cookie?"
The girl nods, right before taking a bite out of it.
The girl's eyes widened with delight, savoring every morsel of the cookie.
"You seem to really enjoy that..." Arael laughs. "Have you never had one of these?"
The girl shakes her head in disagreement.

"Oh... Wait, I know! What if I call you Cookie?"
She seems fascinated with the name.
"Alright, Cookie it is!" Arael feels visibly happy.
As the sun starts to rise, Arael quickly realizes if she doesn't go back now, she'll be caught. She quickly gets up from her knees.
"I have to go now... Let's meet here tomorrow, in the same spot, okay?"
Cookie nods, as Arael rushes back to the Maternity House to get some more sleep, before her sisters wake up.
