Ambrosius pov:"Ambs?" Someone asked. I turned around putting a pillow over my face. "Ambrosius?... Ambrosius it's time to get up." Someone whispered.
I groaned before sitting up. I rubbed my eyes to se bal at the edge of the bed with a tray of food. "Good morning, love." Bal said.
The sun was shining through the window and the lighting on him made him look like an angel. "Morning, babe." I said. "I made breakfast." Bal said.
I kissed him before taking the tray. "God, I love your cooking." I said. He got up from the bed and went to the bathroom. "I'm gonna go change. Be right back." Bal said. I looked at the tray to see a little pink mouse on it.
"Morning Nimona." I said grabbing some bacon. She jumped off the tray before shifting next to me. "How'd you know it was me?" She asked.
"Do I know any pink mice?" I sassed. She rolled her eyes before getting off the bed. She started looking in our drawers until I realized she was about to open the bottom drawer.
"Wait don't open-" I was too late because she opened it and her eyes looked like they were about to pop out. Suddenly the bathroom door opened and Bal walked out.
Nimona looked at him while giving a toothy grin. "Well good morning, slut." Nimona said. Ballister raised an eyebrow until he saw what drawer Nimona was next to.
"Well I need to get ready for the meeting today so we'll talk about this later." I said finishing my coffee. I got up to go to the bathroom. I took of my shirt but noticed something shining in the corner of my eye.
I looked at the counter to see Bal's broach next to the sink. He never goes anywhere without it. He also never let me look at it for some reason. I grabbed it and saw some sort of writing on it.
It was in some sort of language I didn't recognize. Suddenly the door opened and Bal walked in. "Give me that!" He yelled. He snatched the broach out of my hand before putting it on his shirt.
"Sorry, sorry." I said holding my hands up. "No, no I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled." Bal said. He kissed my cheek while I grabbed his waist. "Hey, you okay? Lately you've been acting weird. Did I do something?" I asked.
He kissed me before laying his head on my chest. "You didn't do anything. It's just..." He hesitated before speaking again. "I've just been thinking about my family. That's all." Bal said.
That's right. Bal never talked about his past once to me. Not even Nimona knows anything. I know it's a sensitive topic for him so I never brought it up.
"Wanna talk about it?" I asked kissing his head. He shook his head on my chest and I held him. "I told you to get a lock on the drawer. But noOoO Nimona won't find it." Bal said.
I grabbed his chin while I kept my right arm around his waist. "Ohh Ballister, do you have some nerve to be disobedient today?" I asked grinning. His face turned red and I knew I shut him up.
"Adorable little bitch." I thought. I kissed his cheek before grabbing a hairbrush. "Be a good boy and brush my hair." I asked. I handed him the brush so he could get to work.
15 minutes later:
Okay ready to go. I had to look presentable today so I put on a white blouse that showed a bit of my chest, black pants, and formal shoes. I put on my watch and realized I WAS GONNA BE LATE!!
I ran out of the bathroom while passing Nimona. "Whoa, were you going?" Nimona asked. "Gonna be late!" I yelled running out the door.
I realized I walked here last night so didn't have a ride. "Crap! I'm gonna be late!" I yelled. Suddenly I heard someone clear their throat so I turned around.
Nimona shifted into a dragon with Bal was on her back. "Need a lift?" Nimona asked.
Ballister pov:
It was a clear morning and the temperature was very nice. Being on Nimona's back in the air reminded me of when my mother would take my flying on her back. I always loved the breeze along with how easy it was to breathe so high up.
I had my arm around Ambrosius's waist with my head on his shoulder. "Hold on to your butts!" Nimona announced. I held onto Ambrosius while Nimona dived down to the palace. Some of the people below were waving and smiling at Nimona.
Everyone loves her, especially the kids. She can't ever say no to them when they ask her to shift into something. She landed in front of the entrance of the palace and Ambrosius helped me down.
She shifted back to herself while dusting her clothes. Ambrosius grabbed my metal hand before dragging me into the director's office. Well his office now. "Diego can you get a chair for Nimona and Ballister?" Ambrosius asked Diego.
"Certainly your highness." Diego said. I looked out the window to see some people get out of a car. I looked closer to see they had wings.
They looked familiar but I didn't think of anything. "Ambrosius? Who are you meaning again?" I asked.
"Just some Royal's from another kingdom. Why?" Ambrosius asked. "No reason, but I think they are here." I said.
"Okay, places everyone! We need to look good and Nimona stop scratching the wall." Ambrosius said.
I sat down and Nimona hopped onto my lap as a cat. I pet her while she purrd while I held Ambrosius's hand.
Suddenly some trumpets played and someone with a scroll walked up.
"PRESENTING, PRINCESS RYOKO, FIRE AND PRINCE DRAKE, FIRE! THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF THE DRAGON LANDS!!" The announcer said.
I felt my heart stop when I heard that announcement. Those were the names of my brother and sister. Soon the doors opened. The silhouette of two winged people walked in.
