Later that day:
Ballister pov:

I was at home working on the flower garden I made when I heard a voice. "Sir Boldheart?" Someone asked. I looked over to see Drake standing in front of the gate for the garden.

"Prince Drake! Can I help you?" I asked standing up wiping the dirt off my hands. "Yes. I came to ask you something?" He asked as I opened the door to let him in.

I went back to the garden starting to started pull out some weeds that were growing "Yes." I said. "Why did you forgive him?" Drake asked. I stopped what I was doing and shot up.

"I'm sorry?" I asked. "I don't mean to be rude but why would you forgive the man who cut of your arm?" Drake asked. "You don't know what your talking about!" I yelled standing up.

"I know that the director framed you because you are a commoner. I know that you graduated too of your class. I know that Nimona is the "monster" in your stories and I know that there is a reason you chose to live alone." Drake said.

"Wh- how?" I stuttered. " I always research any nation before going into it so I know who or what I'm dealing with. Everything that happened to you was the most recent in research so I know what happened. What I don't know is how you felt throughout everything." Drake said.

Damn! He really did do his research. "What I went through... What we all went through was traumatic but we survived and we're fine." I said.

I started picking weeds out again and Drake started helping me. "Thank you." I said. "You still didn't answer my question." Drake said. "And what was that question again?" I asked.

"Why did you forgive him?" Drake asked. "I forgave him because I love him. He was my only friend growing up and had always been there for me. He was only doing what he was taught. He's a descendant of Gloreth and that always puts a spotlight on him.

Everyone was pressuring him to be this perfect man but all he wanted was to be a normal person. Can you imagine being put on a spotlight since before you were born and having to do what others wanted instead of you?" I stated.

Drake sighed before pulling out a rose. "I actually can imagine that." Drake said. He stood up before setting the petals on fire while they were floating.

"After my sibling went missing I became next in line for the throne. It... It was a lot. I had just lost my sibling when I was suddenly thrown into a bunch of history books and tutors. Told that I was the next king. That my sibling was gone. I couldn't accept that. That's why we've been looking for so long. I have to know if there alive or dead... I just- I need the closure." Drake said.

I had no idea that my family would be so affected because I went missing. I thought that it was better if I stayed away. But now I'm wondering if staying is what was best for me. Not them.

"I'm... Sorry." I said. "Why are you sorry? Your not the reason he went missing. It was that damned Amon he's the reason our family is broken." Drake said.

"Who is Amon anyway?" I asked. "Amon is the bastard that attacked our family! He had some sort of magical staff that gave a green glow and a massive army of dead knights. We barley won the battle and he's attacked many other kingdoms. My father lost his arm trying to break the staff." Drake explained.

So dad and I already have something in common. That's good to know. I noticed the petals were still burning. I almost touched them when Drake stopped me.
