That Saturday:
Ballister Pov:

It was a very nice and clear morning surprisingly. I was volunteering at a pet adoption today. Luckily today was a very busy day at the market so hopefully we'll be successful."Sir Boldheart! You made it!" Someone yelled. I look around to see Tara.

She was the owner of a sanctuary for abandoned pets and is trying to get the animals adopted so she doesn't have to put them down. She's also the person I'm volunteering for today. "Tara! It's so good to see you! Have you had any applicants for the animals yet?" I asked.

"A few but not enough. I'm worried Ballister. If we don't get enough animals adopted today some of them will have to be put down." Tara said sadly.

I put my robotic hand on her shoulder while looking at her. "We're going to find these animals a home. I promise!" I encouraged. Tara smiled before handing me a clipboard.

"If a person wants to adopt a pet you need their contact information and to write down the name of which animal they want. Got it?" Tara asked.

"Got it!" I said. "Great let's get to work! Tara said enthusiastically.

A few hours later:

Everything was going great. We have almost all the Applications we need and more. We were in the middle of cleaning up when I went to speak to Tara. "Tara! Did we get enough applicants?" I asked.

She sighed and looked down. "We got all but one." Tara said. "Really? Which animal does no one want?" I asked.

She motioned for me to follow her and I did. She took me to a crate with a blanket over it before lifting it up.

"No one wants to adopt him because he's missing a limb and is disfigured." Tara said.
I looked inside to see a black and grey cat. It had a scar over its eye and was missing its right arm.

It was curled up in a ball while shaking. "Meow." It whispered. "I'll adopt him." I said without hesitation. "W... Are you su-" "Im Sure!" I said interrupting her.

She opened the crate making the cat scooted to the very back hissing at me. "It's okay." I said. I slowly put my robotic arm in there until he let me pet him. He started purring when I rubbed his chin.

I pulled him out of the crate to hold him in my robotic arm. "Well! I'll go get the adoption papers." Tara said. She turned to walk away but stopped to look at me.

"Do you have anything at home to feed him?" Tara asked. "Uhhhh-" " hahaha, I'll get you what you need for him." Tara interrupted.
