It's been almost a year since the wall came down and six months since Nimona came back. In Ballister's opinion everything is perfect... Until some familiar faces from outside the wall come to the kingdom. And why can they breathe fire!?

"Hold still, baby!" I said to Nectar. I was in the middle of giving the triplets a bath but Nectar wouldn't stop splashing water everywhere.
Kenna and Grethyl thankfully were just playing with the bubbles while giggling. Suddenly a flash happened making me blink. I looked to see Ambrosius with a camera in his hands smiling.
He put down the camera before kissing me. "Can you get the towels? I need to dry them." I said. "Sure thing, love." He said. I took the kids out of the water and Kenna shook her body splashing water everywhere.
I would be mad if she wasn't so cute! After I cleaned them up and got their clothes on I went outside with them. I saw Ambrosius putting in the car seats for them when he turned around.
He kissed all three of them before kissing me. "Ready to go home?" Ambrosius asked. I looked back at the cottage one more time before turning around. "Let's go!" I said.
Hours later:
"We're home." I said smiling at Ambrosius. I looked behind the car seat to see the kids sleeping while holding each other's hands.
We parked in front of the castle but had to use the back door so the press wouldn't hound us. Especially the babies. Once we got to the throne room a bunch of confetti showed up in front of us and people were cheering.
The babies woke up and started crying. "Oh, no, no, no! It's okay! There's nothing to be afraid of!" I said trying to calm them.
"Sorry! We just wanted to surprise them." Kethan said. Nectar and Grethyl calmed down but Kenna was still upset. "Can I try?" Dad asked. "Be careful. She might get scared of you." I said.
He held her for a minute before making silly faces at her. Honestly I thought she would cry more because the faces scared me but she started laughing and clapping her hands.
"Oookkay! She's not normal is she?" Ambrosius asked pointing at our daughter. "No but neither are we." I said kissing him. I saw Nectar making a gross face. "Blah!" He cooed.
I picked him up and started tickling his belly. Ambrosius started playing with Grethyl and the otter toy she wouldn't let go. Suddenly I felt something rubbing against my leg making me look down.
"Meow!" Shadow said. I knelt down to pet him when I saw a gold and red kitten next to him with a pink and blue puppy. "What the-" I said.
