Aleks, Shuri, and Nakia join Okoye in her fight, but they are surrounded by the Border tribe. They use their shields to force them closer to each other.
"Surrender now!" W'Kabi orders. "You have three seconds to lay down your weapons! One! Two!" He stops his count as he hears men grunting.
"Witness the might of the Jabari firsthand!" M'Baku says as he lifts one of the Border tribe. He throws him into another's shield as other Jabari break through the circle, freeing the women stuck inside.
After more fighting, W'Kabi surrenders to Okoye, ending the fight. Aleks sighs, sheathing her knives. She spots Shuri and moves to join her friend, wrapping her arm around her shoulders.
"Nice moves." She tells her.
"I used a couple of the ones you taught me." Shuri replies. Aleks chuckles and squeezes her shoulder.
"I know you did. You were badass." She says. She spots Nakia and chuckles. "I bet she and your brother are back together by the end of the week." She whispers, making Shuri laugh.
"You're on." She tells her.
"What's so funny?" Nakia asks as she joins them. They both shake their heads.
"Nothing!" Shuri replies quickly. Nakia eyes them suspiciously before rolling her eyes and pulling them into a hug.

"Shuri, what did you want to show me?" Aleks asks as she spots her friend waiting for her by the water. "I left my painting half-finished for this, so it had better be good."
"Painting?" She asks, surprised.
"Don't look at me like that. You're the one who told me I needed to find less violent hobbies." She tells her. She smirks and holds her hand out.
"What?" She asks, unsure what she's doing.
"I won the bet, so pay up." Aleks answers. "When I was at the market earlier buying supplies, I saw T'Challa and Nakia making out."
"What? Gross! I didn't need details." She protests, covering her ears. Aleks laughs and wraps her arm around Shuri's shoulders.
"They weren't really making out, I was just joking. But they were totally kissing so I still win." She says. Shuri sighs. She smiles when she spots something over her shoulder.
"Lucky for you, your payment is here." She tells her, pointing behind her.
"Shuri, I was just kidding about the payment, you don't really have to..." Aleks says, trailing off when she spots what Shuri was pointing at. "James?"
"You're here?" He asks, shocked at seeing her. She smiles and rushes towards him, throwing her arms around him. He wraps his arm around her and buries his face in her neck, holding her tight. She runs her fingers through his hair, knowing it soothes him and he must be overwhelmed right now.
"I'm happy you're here. Shuri figured out how to get rid of the soldier?" She asks, pulling back and cupping his face in her hands. He nods.
"We're trying it tonight. Will you be there?" He replies.
"Of course, I will." She tells him, stroking his cheek.
"As adorable as this is, we've got much more for you to learn." Shuri says, leading the two away so they can get started.
Now that Aleks and Bucky have been reunited, we'll be going back in time to see how they met and their relationship!
This chapter is pretty short because I woke up super late and also didn't want to go back to Winter Soldier halfway through a chapter, but next week's update will be longer lol
