Several days had now gone. Taehyun was still debating whether or not to ask Beomgyu his question, which would endanger both of their lives. But if he didn't ask him sooner, he'd lose everyone he cared about. Not only himself, but everyone he knew and cared for.
He said to himself, "today. I'm asking him today." He heard the doorknob twist, signaling that Beomgyu had arrived.
"heyy, uh i bought the food you asked for. Sorry it took a few days. Budget's a bit tight considering i still have colle-"
"hey, beomgyu?"
"uhh, yeah? what's wrong?"
"I have a very very very important question to ask you. but you promise you will NOT laugh, literally just hold it in if you need to laugh, okay?"
"umm, okay sure. ask away then"
"are you willing to go to the dream universe, with me to maybe um.."
"to what?"
"to fight off demons?"
"pfft. taehyun what? i knew you were a little bit weird but i didn't think you'd be THIS weird."
"beomgyu, im being serious."
Beomgyu snorted, then looked Taehyun in the eyes and realized he was serious.
"oh, shit- well uh"
"please. you're my only chance"
"what? why can't you do it yourself?"
"it's too dangerous."
"but isn't it dangerous for me too?"
"yes, but I'll protect you at all costs. so please, go with me?"
"give me this whole day, to think about it. I'll let you know if I made my decision."
Taehyun nodded, and smiled at him.

Beomgyu thought about it for minutes and hours. He finally called Taehyun to his living room after making his decision.
"so? Have you made your choice?"
"yeah."
"will you accompany me?"
"no, I'm sorry."
"what? say that again?"
"no, taehyun I'm not going with you. im sorry, okay?"
"oh. okay.. I respect your decision."
"thanks."
"I'll be leaving tomorrow night, thank you for allowing me to stay," Taehyun remarked, discouraged.
