After the small incident with the ghosts, Beomgyu followed Taehyun’s lead with no questions, no interfering, and no fooling around.
If he was completely honest, the ghosts scared him. And it didn't help the fact they're in possession of nightmares, creating them even.
But Taehyun was there, and that made him worry less.
—
They were traveling for 10 minutes or so, before being able to finally find the room the plan was in.
“Beomgyu, I'll let go of your hand. But don’t wander around. Okay?” Taehyun whispered, tapping the latter’s hand.
“Okay.” Beomgyu replied, letting go of the other male’s hand.
“Just wait here, I'll find the paper we need.”
Taehyun then approached an old-looking paper on a table, “If I'm not mistaken, this might be it.” He talked to himself, then he stroked his finger across the words written in the paper, reading them carefully.
If the prior paper was lacking in content, he would proceed on to the next one. Yet, he still was not able to find what he needed.
“These are useless,” he murmured, but his body came to a halt when he noticed a black paper,
—NIGHTMARE— being shown at the very top of the document, it also being marked in dark red.He carefully read it, and that was it.
That was all he needed to know: “Where are you, Beomgyu-ah?” He called for the male. Failing to get any response.
“Beomgyu?” He called out again, raising his voice. But not too loud to capture attention of ghosts from outside.
When he waited a few seconds for a response and it didn't receive any, he mentally cursed at himself. Pinching the bride of his nose, trying to avoid a headache.
“Taehyun-ah? I’m right here. Hehe, you fell for it didn't you? I’m such a great prankst—” Beomgyu was cut off by Taehyun’s hand, gripping his own.
“Wasn’t funny, Beomgyu. Don’t do that again.” He said, deepening his voice. Beomgyu shivered at that. “O-okay. I’m sorry.” He hung his head low, being scared at the man who’d currently holding his hand.
“Let’s go, I got what we needed.” He spoke, making Beomgyu nod. “Where next?” Beomgyu asked, curious. He actually wondered when will he have a purpose in this seemingly long journey.
“The boss.” Taehyun said, making Beomgyu feel intimidated. ”Just kidding, we still need to plan everything. Considering the fact we know what these fools are planning themselves.”
Beomgyu wanted to laugh, but it still feared him. The fact he will be used in this, makes him scared. Since he doesn't know what he would be doing in the first place. It wasn’t clarified to him, which is why he’s extremely anxious for what’s about to come.
“We need a friend to help us for later on. You might know him.” Taehyun said, trying to reassure the male he's holding. Knowing he was scared about the future events.
“W-what? Really?!” He squealed. “Wait, what do you mean by that? Why would I? Isn't this a different universe? Why would i know them?” He bombarded.
“Not all humans you know, are living creatures from your planet. They have missions too, and this certain friend had a mission to make his past love happy.” Taehyun said, hurt noticeable in his voice. Speaking about love.
“Oh. Why do you sound sad? Do you have a love too?” Beomgyu said, gripping the hand of the other. “I’ll tell you another time, it still hurts.”
Beomgyu agreed and said an ’okay‘ before completely staying silent. Making sure to follow Taehyun to their next stop.
