We had been walking for quite some time. The webs became more abundant the farther we went. Eventually, they stopped increasing and stayed the same amount. They were absolutely everywhere. The road, the walls of buildings, heck, even strung in between the buildings. You name it, there were webs there. They were even high up on the really tall buildings!

Due to the spider webs being everywhere, we had to walk slower to avoid stepping in the webs. I also noticed that Schlatt's ears have been twitching around like he does when he hears something. "Holy shit..." Schlatt muttered as he looked up at the webs strung across the air between buildings. I grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him back, making him look down at the web he almost stepped in. "Thanks, Charlie," Schlatt said, and I nodded in response.

"They're everywhere..." Ted mumbled as we all kept walking. We walked a good distance before Schlatt suddenly paused his movements. "Schlatt, what're you-" I started speaking but was cut off by Schlatt aggressively shushing me. "SHHH!" he said as he shoved his hand on my face. I push his hand away and look at him, waiting for some sort of explanation.

Schlatt just stands there, his face serious and concentrated. "Schlatt-" Ted starts but suffers the same fate as me. Schlatt lets out a huff and closes his eyes. I've noticed he does this when he needs to focus or concentrate. He stands there for a few seconds, his ears twitching around as he listens, before he opens his eyes again.

"There's a huge group of the infected up ahead and to the side," Schlatt says, to which Ted lets out a groan. "I hate this stupid fucking apocalypse!" Ted says as he grabs his weapon off his back, his choice being a big baseball bat. "I know, Ted. We all hate it," I tell Ted as I grab my own weapon, an axe. Schlatt nods in agreement as he also grabs his weapon, a crowbar.

Even though we all had guns, they were used as a last resort because the noise could alert and attract the infected.

We continued walking again, more carefully than before, and kept our eyes and ears open for any infected. After walking for a few minutes, I started to very faintly hear the moans and groans of our undead enemies. "Oh, I hear them now," I say, to which Ted retorts as he stops and turns to me, "You only now hear them?" with his eyebrow raised.

"It's not my fault that I don't have animal hearing!" I say, annoyed, as I take a step toward Ted, scowling at him. Ted also started walking towards me and was about to talk back, but Schlatt stepped between us and put his arms out. Me and Ted both stopped at the sudden presence of Schlatt's hands on our chests.

"Ladies, now is not the time to be fighting, if you haven't noticed," Schlatt says as he pushes me and Ted apart. Ted scoffs and rolls his eyes while I huff and cross my arms. "Ted started it! He knows I'm sensitive about not having as good of hearing as you guys!" I say and turn my gaze away from them. "Oh, don't you dare go blaming me!" Ted says angrily as he starts walking to me again. "I'll blame you as much as I fucking want!" I respond in a sassy voice as I pop a hip out and put my hand on it, creating the perfect image of one of those fucking bitchy ass popular girls you'd see at school.

"You little shit!" Ted yells as he starts running at me. "Ted, no!" Schlatt raises his voice as he discards his crowbar while he lunges forward, wraps his arms around Ted's waist, and lifts him off the ground. This caused Ted to drop his bat. "Schlatt, let me go!" Ted yells as he tries to push away from Schlatt. Ted was pushing against Schlatt's head and arm, but Schlatt's hold on him never wavered. "Let me go, you fucking bitch!" Ted practically screamed at Schlatt.

"Nope. You're trapped until you calm the fuck down," Schlatt says as he somehow manages to get Ted's arms pinned at his side. "NO FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING BITCH! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU, YOU-" Ted screamed but got cut off when Schlatt suddenly let go of him, dropping him to the ground with a thud.

"WHAT THE-" Ted continued screaming but was once again cut off when Schlatt grabbed him and shoved his face in his broad chest, holding Ted's head there with his big ass hand. Ted kept screaming as he flailed around and tried to escape. "Ted, if you keep screaming, I will personally make sure you don't get away from those infected freaks," Schlatt said sharply and firmly, a tone neither me nor Ted have heard before. Normally, Ted wouldn't be affected by Schlatt's words, but upon hearing Schlatt's tone, he stopped screaming and flailing almost immediately because he knew Schlatt was serious.

Schlatt waited a few more seconds before taking his hand off Ted's head, finally giving Ted freedom. Ted quickly stood back up straight and started fixing his hair, muttering under his breath. "What was that?" Schlatt asks as he crosses his arms. "Nothing!" Ted responds suspiciously quickly. "That's what I fucking thought," Schlatt huffs as he scowls.

Once Ted was done fixing his hair, he turned to face me. I was just standing there awkwardly, not knowing what to do after Ted's outburst. "Sorry..." Ted mumbled, his cheeks turning a shade of pink in embarrassment as he avoided eye contact with me. There was a loud silence as I approached him, stopping about a foot away from him. He looked at me, confusion evident on his pink-tinted face.

I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around him in a hug. He tensed at first, but quickly relaxed and hugged me back. We were having a nice moment when that fucking ram ruined it. "The kids are getting along! Quick! Get the camera!" he said with a high-pitched voice, as if talking to someone. Me and Ted both let go of the hug to make annoyed noises and gestures at Schlatt, to which he just started cackling.

Me and Ted both stopped and crossed our arms, trying not to giggle at Schlatt's ridiculous laughter. Schlatt's laughter came to a sudden stop when he yelped and tripped over his own foot while trying to get away from something, causing me and Ted to burst out in laughter.
