You are my Fire

Chapter 1

Ashley and Sodo were happy couple for some time now. Maybe not for very long, but after all what they've been through, last few weeks had been really peaceful for them. They just checked in into another hotel and were on their way to the room. They may be not in their best mood because things didn't go exactly according to the plan.
"I can't believe it. We should getting ready for the wedding not wandering around the hotel and looking for our room." Sodo said gloomy.
"I know love, but we can't do anything about it and you know that Tobias couldn't delay it all any longer." Ashley said trying to keep him calm. They should be getting married tomorrow but because of unexpected turn of events it had to be postponed. They had to deal with all that procedures after Ashleys insane ex decided to ruin their life together and dragged into it girl from the crew who was so much in love with Sodo that she let him manipulate her into breaking into Ashleys' apartment and when it didn't work she attacked her and sent Ash into the hospital. Luckily, nothing serious had happen, but it all caused delays in recordings because Sodo refused to leave Ash. So when they could finally join rest of the band in the studio, there wasn't enough time to prepare their wedding because they had to go back on the road for another tour. Sodo wasn't happy about it, but Ashley somehow was able to calm him as much as it was possible. He was Fire Ghoul after all. They couldn't do anything about it so she tried her best to cool down situation.
"I know but it's frustraiting. I want to do it as soon as possible. I don't want you to run again." He said annoyed.
"Och come on. I won't run. And we can do it after the tour. We'll have more time." She tried to find arguments. Meanwhile they found their room. Sodo got their luggage in and throw himself on the bed. Ash looked at him and sat on the egde.
"We can do it in Spain, you know?" She said. She knew that this idea should make him happy, a little at least. He loved Barcelona and she also found beauty in there. "It would be just perfect do it there, don't you think?" She had to use her tricks on him or he'll be pain in the ass for days.
"Yes, I know, but it's still after the tour."
"It all will be fine." She leaned and kissed him. "Let's have some fun during this tour. Last few shows were rather sad and gloomy because of that whole thing with Clark. Don't let him destroy this one too. You love touring." She really tried her best.
"Yeah, but you're not so happy with it." Sodo said stairing at the ceiling
"Maybe I'm not so much as you are. But that's what makes you happy and I want you to be happy." She looked him in the eyes. "Besides, I like my work more with every show and you're doing what you love the most. That's what matters. And I'm so much better when they're locked up. I'll be just fine."
"I know what you're doing." Per said turning on his side and looking at Ash.
"What am I doing?" She asked "Using arguments?" She laughed. Sodo reached his arm and pulled her into his arms
"You're using your witchcraft on me." He said. Ashley laughed
"Witchcraft? Since when arguments are witchcraft?"
"It dosen't matter. It seems it works." He sighted. "I know you're right. But I really wanted to marry you tomorrow. I'm still afraid that something's gonna happen again and you'll leave..." Sodo said with sad tone in his voice. Ashley looked at him with guilt in her eyes. She knew that's her fault that he felt that way. She left him once very harshly. What's worse, she did it that night when he was about to propose. Timing was really excellent. Even so, when she went to Spain to get him back, he was in his 'I don't give a fuck' mood. It was hard to get him out of it.
"I won't leave. I remember very well what happened when I left." Her heart ached. She instictively cluched her chest.
"Are you ok?" He asked
"Yeah, I'm fine." He looked at her suspicious. "So, are we gonna do this in Barcelona?" She tried to change subject.
"If you really want to." He said.
"I do. You know that I also love that place." She said and kissed him. "Well, we should probably fresh up and prepare for sound check." Ashley got used to that schedule, being in a hurry, traveling and noise. She also got used to a lot of people around. It was easier because it was mostly band mates and crew and she knew them. What she still didn't get used to, it was their meetings with fans. She still rather stayed in the bus or behind when they were meeting them. When it comes to that, watching them, she left to Ritche and others. Sodo wasn't happy about it, but he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. They freshed up and left. She catched Sodo's black baseball cap and closed the door. It was again crowded outside. They got into a car and she sighted with relief. Per looked at her and asked
"Will you ever get used to it?" He asked with concern, bacause it was very important part of every tour and he was well aware that was her greatest nightmare.
"I don't know. Probably." She wrapped his arm around her and placed her head on his shoulder. When they reached their destinantion it was also crowded and loud. Sodo went to say hello and she was waiting for him at the entrance. As always, she kept her head low. It didn't took long when he joined her and they came in. She helped him dress up and kissed him
"I'm going to check everything."
"Ok, but remember to take someone with you." He reminded her. After Clark's attack, even that he was behind bars, Sodo insisted for that. Just in case.
"I will." With that she left. On her way she took one of the guards and they went to check it all. They were outside for quick peek how things are there. They were passing by barriers when someone called her by her name. She stopped for a second and looked at that person. She didn't recall that face from anywhere. Even so, she got closer to the barrier
"It's not the best idea." said guard who went with her. "If something's gonna happen, he'll rip my head off." He added. Even he was afriad of Sodo. They all were.
"I want to know what it's about. I don't remember him from anywhere, but he knows my name." Ashley said "Yes, what is it?" She asked guy who called her name
"You're Ashley Mayers, right?" He asked
"And you are? I'm sorry, do I know you?" Ashley was suspicious.
"Och, I'm from little metal magazine, you've probably never heard of it. We're new. Are you and Sodo really engaged? When will you get married? And what's your position with the band?" He rudely fired with all those questions at once. She didn't expect that. She was about to say something, but the guard stepped in
"If you've got questions about the band, after the show will be press conference and meeting with the fans." He said and dragged Ashley away from him. "I told you it's not a good idea." They were back inside.
"How it's possible that he knew my name?" Ash started to wondering. She always kept her social media private as much as it's possible and since she started dating Sodo, she even deleted most of them. "Don't tell Sodo about this. Not a word. Are we clear?" She said. Guard nodded but he wasn't so sure it's a good idea. "Ok, we're done here. I'm going check on him." She tried her best to not show that anything happened. Before she got into the green room, where Per had his sound check, she took a deep breath and entered the room
"Hi, how it's going here?" She asked. Sodo looked at her bit suprised with that cheerful tone
"Everything's fine. You know me, I like it all keep in order." He looked again at her "Are you alright?"
"Of course, why?"
"You seem nervous."
"No, I'm not." She lied and looked away. Sodo didn't buy it. But for now at least, he had to let go. It was time for him to go.
"Come on, we have to go. Or do you wanna stay here?" He asked and kissed her forehead.
"No, I'm going with you." She took his hand and they left. It was rather big show. She took her place backstage and watched them scanning the audience from time to time. Show was great, audience very responsive and they all had a great time. They loved gigs like this one. Sodo got back from the stage in very good mood. Ash ran to him and as soon as he took off his helmet gave him very enthusiastic kiss.
"Wow, how did I deserve this?" Sodo laughted
"It was marvelous!"
"It was, right?" He answered with big grinn "Let's go to our dressing room, we've got tight schadule today." With that he wrapped his arm on her waist and they left. They had to be at the press conference so he just freshed up a bit and got back in the outfit. They were ready in no time and got into the room where conference meant to be. Ashley stayed behind and watched with rest of the guards. There was a lot of questions about tour, new album, changing outfits and new chapter of the story. Suddenly somewhere from the back someone asked
"Sodo, what's Ashleys position with the band and when you two gonna get married?" Sodo frozed and looked panicked directly at her behind the curtain. She also looked terrified. Copia reacted first
"We're answering questions only about the band. Personal life of my ghouls is their matter only. Next question please." It was incredibly rude, that's one thing. Second is that Copia knew very well that Sodo was very sensitive about his privacy and what's most important, that Ash didn't feel comfortable with any attention towards her. And that it's freaking her out. That happened this time also. She was pale like a ghost. She was about to run and hide somewhere and Sodo saw that. He almost got up from that table but Ritche was there in a second. He stood in front of her and said
"It's ok. I'm here. Don't panick, don't let any nervous emotion out." And he had hide her behind him in case anyone would peek behind. Right after conference, there was meet&greet with fans. Sodo came to Ash for a second and said
"Love, it all will be alright, I'm gonna be with you soon, wait for me, ok?" He knew that no one should know her name. Ofically that is. No one ever had said what's her name. There was just one possibility. That there's a leak. Sodo was furious. 'Here we go again.' He thought. "Stay with Ritchie." Ashley nodded and moved to another room, where meet&greet supouse to be. They stood behind the banner that was behind bands back. Ash and Ritchie peeked from time to time is everything fine there, even that there were other guards
"Hey, isn't it that rude journalist?" Suddenly he asked pointing at a guy who just came in.
"Yeah, it is. What is he doing here? He really has a deathwish..." Ashley said knowing that if Sodo will see him, he might fall into his "destroyer mode" and that won't be good.
