Later that evening Valeria was lying on her bed with a few school books, trying her best to find a way to help the boys without giving up her identity.

If they knew it was her they'd stop her. So she's gotta find out how to make sure they don't know it's her. The both of them are insanely clever so it's proving difficult to find ways they wouldn't be able to see right through.

Penny smiled at her from across the room. "Doing some homework?"

"Um... kind of? Just some... extra research."

"Ohh, I gotcha," Penny nodded. "Well. If you need help with anything let me know. Potions is my best subject."

"Thank you, Penny," Valeria returned her smile, thankful for her helpful friend.

A knock on their dormitory door silenced them. Penny opened it. "Hey, what's up?"

"There's a student here to see Val," The second year girl explained. "I was told to go get you."

"Oh, um, thank you," Valeria set the books down and made her way to the common room. Then she left into the corridor.

Someone clasped their hand over her mouth and pulled a knife on her. A female, scratchy voice spoke into her ear.

"Hello, little pup," She snarled, then giggled oddly enough. "Bet mum and dad are rolling in their graves now that I've got their little one."

Whoever this woman is, she's a death eater. That much is clear. She knows too much about Valeria.

"You're lucky I don't kill you right here right now," She sighed, pressing the blade of the knife past the first layer of skin on her neck. One small line of blood trickled from the cut. "The dark lord did say I could have some fun with you, though. Come along!"

Valeria's head throbbed as she was suddenly apparated to a large basement-looking place. It was cold and drafty and dark. It smelled like old blood and mold and she didn't want to know what kind of hellish things were done in this place.

She could barely see in the dim light given off by one single lantern in the back of the room. But the woman took off her disguise to reveal a witch who should've been in Azkaban this whole time.

Bellatrix Lestrange.

"Now, where were we? Oh yeah, crucio!"

Valeria fell to the hard stone floor and her head slammed against it with a sickeningly loud thud. It only added to the excruciating pain that had attacked her whole body in droves.

It felt like her skin was covered in knives all stabbing her at once from every direction. It felt like her bones were breaking all at the same time.

All she could do was let out throat-ripping screams and mentally beg for mercy.
