After Eddie's arm had broken Eddie's mom had temporarily banned him from seeing his friends, all except me considering my mother and his were close friends. I sat in Eddie's room on his bed, doodling on his cast. "Aren't you scared?" He asks. "Of what?" "You know what." "Of course I am." "You don't seem like it." "That's because I'm good at hiding those sorts of things. But believe me when I tell you, I'm scared as hell." "Can I- Can I tell you something?" Eddie asks, in a quiet soft tone. Almost sounding nervous. "Yeah, what is it?" "Do you remember in fourth grade when Bowers pushed me into the mud and you came over and kicked him in his balls?" I laugh. "Yeah, that was funny." "It was in that moment I realized that I didn't just wanna be your friend, I wanted more." My sharpie pauses on his cast. "Wait, are you say-" "I like you Y/n. A lot. And I don't wanna waste anymore time keeping it in, with this clown around either of us could- die...at any moment." I look up from his cast and smile at him. "I like you too Eddie." A smile forms onto Eddie's lips.
