One and Only

Memories

Seonghwa was walking towards Hongjoong's office, holding files which have information about their upcoming projects. After yesterday, he was feeling shy in facing the other. It was so hard calm down Wooyoung this morning, who was continuously crying and asking his mumma to let him meet his papa.

As he stood infront of the office door, he felt some unfamiliar spark entering his body. He was shy but also excited to meet the other and he didn't knew why. Maybe because of last night. He was sure Hongjoong was just playing along with Wooyoung cause he was missing the warmth of a father.

He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. He heard a faint "come in" and went inside. He saw Hongjoong sitting on his boss chair looking in his laptop. He cleared his throat and spoke softly.

Seonghwa : Umm sir your files for the upcoming projects are ready. If you could review them once then my work will be done. *Said looking down at his hands after keeping the files on the table*

Hongjoong : Sure! Thank you Hwa. Umm i was actually about to call you only. I was thinking if after office we could pick up the kids and go for dinner together. I mean I did promised Woo yesterday but I couldn't spend time with him today cause of meetings and all. *Said looking at Seonghwa who was surprised*

Seonghwa : Umm i mean i don't want to disturb you and it's totally alright if you are not able to spend time with them. *Said looking nervous*

Hongjoong : No Hwa it's not. I promised Woo so I can atleast do this much for them. *Said smiling sweetly*

Seonghwa blushed lightly at the nickname and nodded his head letting the other know that he is fine with this plan. Hongjoong also smiled lightly which actually looked genuine.

*Time skip*
At Seonghwa's house

It was almost 7 when they reached Seonghwa's house. The door opened and their stood a surprised Mingi staring at them. Hongjoong smiled lightly which Mingi returned politely. He gave them the way to enter and Seonghwa immediately called his babies. He was looking so excited to meet them after the whole day.

Wooyoung was jumping happily when he saw his "parents" coming together and immediately went into his father's arms. He smiled widely at Hongjoong who returned the same gesture and patted his head.

Hongjoong : Hey my cupcake! How are you baby? *Said smiling sweetly*

Wooyoung : I am really good papa. I was waiting for you to come and play with me and Jongho. *Said cutely*

Hongjoong : I know strawberry. I am so sorry i wasn't able to come in the morning but now u know we'll go for a good family dinner. *Said smiling sweetly at the kid in his arms*

Wooyoung : Really??! Yay!!!! Thank you papa! You are really good! I lob you so much!! *Said hugging Hongjoong tightly and smiling widely*

Seonghwa looked at them and smiled lightly which Mingi immediately noticed. He then waved a good bye to his friend and left shortly after. Hongjoong looked at Jongho who was in his mumma's arms. He went close to Seonghwa who looked at him curiously but soon it was turned into surprise when Hongjoong kissed his forehead lightly and then did the same with the kids.

Hongjoong : Hwa let's get the kids ready and then we leave. I made a reservation of 8 pm. It's still 7:30 pm. *Said smiling*

Seonghwa who was shocked, snapped out of his zone and nodded immediately turning and moving towards the bedroom for the kids to get ready.

*Time skip*
In the car

It's been ten minutes since they started their drive. According to Hongjoong , their destination was twenty minutes away from Seonghwa's house. The kids were sitting in the back and Hongjoong and Seonghwa in front. Wooyoung was so much happy and Jongho was really active. Giggling and throwing his hands every now and then. Seonghwa looked at them lovingly.

Hongjoong : You have changed so much. Now that I look at you, i see a really independent and strong person. Ofcourse our past isn't that good but I hope we can make our future better. *Said smiling sweetly at the other*

Seonghwa : Umm honestly, you have changed too. You are really successful and more handsome than before. *Said smiling lightly*

Hongjoong : More handsome? Hmmm so I was handsome before as well. *Said smirking*

Seonghwa : Uhhh i mean-- umm yeah. *Said blushing hardly*

Hongjoong laughed at the flustered face of the other. He loved teasing him.

Seonghwa : But ofcourse we can make good memories! *Said nervously smiling*

*Time skip*
After dinner

It was almost ten when they returned from their dinner. It was a really good and memorable evening for all of them. Seonghwa smiled at the sleeping kids on the backseat and thanked Hongjoong for such a beautiful night. He then blushed remembering the little incident that happened in the restaurant before.

*Flashback*

As Seonghwa was seating on the table, he saw a waitress looking at them. He was kind of nervous under her stare thinking she might mistake them as couples or maybe she can be homophobic. After some time he saw the waitress approaching .

Waitress : Hello I was looking at you and i must say your little family is so beautiful. *Said smiling sweetly*

Seonghwa : Uhh is it? Thank you but I must say-- *Hongjoong quickly cut him off*

Hongjoong : Thank you so much miss. It's really sweet you find our family beautiful. My husband here is a bit shy but he is actually thankful. *Said smiling sweetly and looking at Seonghwa*

*Flashback end*

That night both of them were so happy and slept well. They were really close unexpectedly and wanted to remain the same way.
