It's a peaceful study hall period in the school. For the seniors and juniors though. Everyone else is in class. Since the top students don't have a lot of homework to do and was able to finish it in class, they're off doing their thing. Candy's by himself. Mi-Chan, Heaven, and Gina are with Principal Love while Alice is with Professor Sweet to help out in class. He's walking around the halls looking at the bulletin boards on the walls.
There's a table of random comics that students made for an assignment. He stops there and was intrigued by what was set out for him. There are five copies of each comic; having eight groups that worked on their own. The one that interests him the most is a story about a story of a person's journey to a terminal illness. He grabs it and finds a place to sit down.
Thirty minutes later, he's sitting onto the marble slab behind him. Oh... Something seems wrong. He's at the end of the comic after five pretty short chapters. Sobbing with tears getting into the pages. After a while, he begins to scream and cry and lays on the floor. As he lays there crying, Principal Love, Mi-Chan, Gina, and Heaven all came out to see what's going on. When they all hear crying, they rush over to find him. Now that he's found, Principal Love instantly got on his knees and hugs him. He continues to scream and cry. Gina saw the comic and picks it up. Mi-Chan and Heaven then sees it.
"Oh my gosh. That's the same comic I saw earlier."
Candy continues to scream and cry while Principal Love tries what he can to make him feel better. Mi-Chan grabs the comic and reads the part where she thinks made him cry. She found it when she, Gina, and Heaven read it. Oh yeah, she's also read it too. This morning. It also made her cry.
Once they finally finished reading, Mi-Chan noticed something that she didn't notice before. The way the situation played out. It was distasteful. Some of the dialogue are even disrespectful to the people suffering from terminal illnesses. For example, one character said that the Heart Gods let them suffer and that what they did was why they have the illness. If they didn't get an illness, something would've happened to them.
Gina holds out the comic to Principal Love, "Hey Principal Love. We figured out what's wrong with this."
He grabs the comic while Candy continues to sob. Now reading through the scene in question. As he reads, he grows more and more horrified by the story. When he's done, he gets up and hold Candy's hand.
He looks at them, "You don't need to come to my office with me. I'm going to have the person that wrote it in there."
He walks his way in the principals office with Candy. Everyone else stands there. At the office, the lady isn't here but the intercom is there for him to use. He takes it and turns it on.
"Fume Okira, report to the principals office." He puts it away and continues to walk over to his office with him.
At his office, Candy's sobbing while Principal Love's hugging him. After waiting for three minutes, the door opens and Fume comes in. She sits down and sees Candy crying. She shows no care at all.
"Do you know why you're here?"
She didn't respond. For that, he pulls out the comic, "Well he picked it up from the comic stand today and it really upset him. I imagine you made this atrocity. This isn't the first time I have to bring you here for it."
"I could care less about what you think. Where have the Gods been when I was beaten half to death by my mom? Where have the Gods been when my siblings were killed by my grandma? Where have the Gods been when I was tortured to the point of being taken to the hospital for a whole year? THEY WERE NEVER THERE!!! NOT EVEN ONE!!! LIKE I DIDN'T EXIST IN THEIR EYES!!!"
There was silence but Candy's crying got worse. After a while, Principal Love made a response.
"I went through nothing but trauma in my life since the day I was born. My parents tried to leave me for dead in my room for the first three years of my life before I ruined my chance of escaping. I didn't follow Sweetheart's orders and got myself into a lot of trouble to where I had to live with the abuse till Mi-Chan stepped in and got my high school counselor to call the police on them. However, I can still have things to be grateful for despite everything. I don't need to have a relationship of any sort with her. She, for the most part, raised me. And for you to say all that and express no care for what you showed in that comic infuriates me more than I already am. You're expelled from this school. Get out before I get your nurse to do so for you."
She scoffs and gets up to leave the principals office to leave the school for the last time. Now that she's not in the room anymore, he finally calms his crying. He wipes his tears away, assuring him that everything will be okay. He hugs him tight.
"Oh Candy-Kun. Do you want to see Nurse Beanie?"
He nods as he holds his hand and leads him over there. When he made it, Nurse Beanie's in the room of the beds helping a hurt student. She's crying hysterically. Then she sees Principal Love and Candy.
"Oh Candy-Kun. What's going on?"
"He got really upset over a horrible comic that a student made. She got expelled already. He wants to be here with you."
"Aww."
She holds her arms out, "Come here sweetheart." He instantly comes to her then both of them start hugging.
The student calms her crying and looks at Principal Love, "Was the student Fume?"
"It was. Did she do this to you?"
She responds sobbing, "She beat me up really bad and I had to wait for my mom to get me to take me to the doctor." She burst into tears.
Her mom shows up and was mortified by what happened to her, "Oh goodness! You did get hurt pretty bad!"
Her takes her hand, "Come here honey. I got the wagon for you to ride on as we go there."
Both of them leave the nurses office to get to the doctor. Now that they're not here, Candy calms down and continues to hug her. Principal Love made a smile. Before he goes back to his office, he goes up to him to pet his head.
"I'll be going back to my office. Come over if you need me."
He leaves the nurse's office to get back to what he's doing. With him gone, Candy gets tired and falls asleep on her. When she realized that he's sleeping, she smiles and got him to lay down. She knows she usually has Nero with him. After going through his school bag, she found it and gives it to him. She tucks him in and gets up to sit at the desk. It even has a music box to use. She puts the cross chip in it as the music plays. Hoping that he'll have good rest after what happened.
