In the Bunker 4O and 2O are noticing the movement of the joint squad from their radars.

4O: The YoRHa squadron has left the Resistance base.

2O: They are presently en route to Mt. Ka'ala elevator hall.

4O: Displaying information regarding the enemy server base in Mt. Ka'ala. This server covers a broad area, controlling machines across the entire pacific. Destroying it would give us the upper hand in this war.

White looks at the info they are dealing with with the broadcast signal entirely covering the pacific region. But White thinks the other way.

White: Though the mission may end in failure.

2O looked at her in surprise and confusion.

2O: What do you mean?

White: Only that we must consider that possibility until the very end.

2O interjects on her thoughts about this possibility.

2O: Commander, we're also part of this operation, too. We're fighting, just like the soldiers on the ground. Even since before the start of the mission, we haven't been allowed to be timid or weak.

White: *interjects* So you've come to experience empathy for our forces on the ground?

2O was eye-widened from this and 4O was worried yet again about her concern to the forces on the ground. But 2O clarifies her statement to her.

2O: I... I may not have had the slightest bit of combat experience since I was rolled out. But, we've been with them throughout their fight. There must be something we can do for them, even from here. That's what I've come to believe.

White: Remain focused on our objective. Observe them and Y/n's movements.

But even 2O's statement didn't make White understand how the word "reinforcement" is always needed to be part of their military organization.

They don't even know the dark truth about themselves.

Suddenly an alarm blared to the Command center as 4O advised.

4O: YoRHa squadron approaching a cluster of machine life forms. They are steadily increasing!

2O: 20... Oh no, 30,000 enemy units detected!

4O: It's a stealth ambush...

White was surprised by this and thought.

White: 'Their evolution... has even allowed them to predict our strategy?'

White: 'I can only hope... that those girls might succeed.'

*opening plays*

On the mountainside of Mt. Ka'ala, machines are crawling in to stealth ambush them just as the YoRHa command has discovered with A4 and Rose discovering it just now.

A4: There are so many...!

Rose: Turn on your thermal sensors! Remember the location of the cooled areas. We won't be able to use our sensors in melee...

When Gerbera turned on her sensors, something went wrong.

Gerbera: Captain.. It's not working.

Rose: What do you mean it's not working?!
