The Red Girls are watching the battle unfolding in the field. They can't comprehend seeing androids sacrificing themselves for the person they gave glory to or protected.

Red Girl A: Why must you stay behind?

Red Girl B: Why must you be killed?

Red Girl A: Why?

Red Girl B: Why?

Red Girl A: Why?

Red Girl B: Why?

Together: Why?!

*opening Pearl Harbor plays*

As the team ascends down to the final floor leading to the server room. They talk one last time.

Gerbera: I wonder if......Anemone's still okay.

A2: The elevator's still moving, so that must mean No. 21's still okay.

Y/n: But... Unfortunately, No. 21's infected...

A4: Huh?

Gerbera: We've seen it happen enough times. When the virus infects an android, it always affects their motor center like that.

No2: Then, No21!?

Suddenly a loud bang shakes the elevator they're in.

A4: What was that?!

Y/n: That massive explosion... 'It could've been done by either G16's power or S21's sacrifice... But perhaps, it's both.'

Rose: Lily and the others have stopped the enemy.

A2: But that sound... There's no way they could have survived. Lily...

Just then, she remembered the comrades she left behind to hold the line for them.

A2: No.16 & No.21! *runs to the console* I have to go back! At this rate, No16 and No21!

But before she could even tamper the console she was pulled by Rose around the collar.

Rose: You were the one who decided to leave them behind. Whatever becomes of them is the Captain's responsibility.

A2: But...!

Rose: You must have realized it. We were created to die... That's why we cannot let No.21, No.16 and Lily's fight be for nothing!!

A2: But... It's so sad, for everything to just turn out like this!

A4: No2, do you no longer want to fight? As an android, don't you think that's strange?

A2: Aren't you sad?!

A4: Of course, I am! But this and that are two separate things. We have to fight because that is the purpose of our existence.

A2: I'm not afraid of fighting, but to lose our friends in the battle, it's so sad. Why... Why must we feel such emotions? We're just androids... But why are our emotions so human?

Gerbera: They say it's to instill a sense of rivalry through various experiences and a wide range of diversity... just like humans.

A4: So, in order for us to do things humans cannot, they in turn make us more like them... isn't that a contradiction?

Y/n: Well, I can't exactly tell if you're right...

They looked at him thinking that he had something to say about it.

Y/n: Think of this way: If it's best for all of you to be like me, a human, then why don't the rest of the YoRHa androids do it themselves? But then again, there are things that we humans cannot do. In other words, it's a contradiction; in which this case she should be right.
