The Arronax was a huge sub. I mean HUGE. The air was stable and so were the lights. They didn't have to live off pickled eggs. Yeah, my pop was a... interesting man. Kept pickled eggs since they practically lived forever. Anyway, Fontaine showed me around the place and told me about what they did. Y'know like rescuing people, discovering things long since forgotten, yada yada yada, blah blah blah. Honestly, I wasn't really paying attention, which might seem a little rude, but I was very overwhelmed by the size of the Arronax. I mean I think 10 Bubbles could fit in here! ... Ok, over exaggeration, only 7 could.
"-and if you walk that way you'll find the study, that's where dad spends most his time. And-" Fontaine was cut off by her brother... falling from the ceiling? What the heck...
"Ant! What were you doing?" Fontaine shouts at him while she takes a step back, almost bumping into me. I reflexively take a step back and shake my head slightly with a small smile on my face.
"I'm making sure she," he looks at me, squinting his eyes, "doesn't turn out to be like Finn."
Finn? Who the hell is Finn? Obviously they aren't a good person if Ant doesn't trust them.
I look at Ant and smile. "Don't worry, I'd much rather be on my own sub. Your sub is so big I feel really small." Before he can respond I grab Fontaine by the arm and walk away. We both smirk and laugh a little when we hear Ant yelling out to us.

Fontaine and I have been hanging out for a while now. Turns out she's actually pretty cool. I've decided to let her read my book on my adventures. Some of them are pretty boring, just me looking for my pop when the sub started to malfunction. But others are a little more interesting, such as being attacked by 'The Great Unknown'.
"'The Great Unknown'? What's The Great Unknown? Is it some sort of sea creature?" She has a confused look on her face. I don't blame her.
"Well... I don't know what it is. That's why I called it The Great Unknown. I've seen parts of it, like it's eyes. They're huge! Like two dinner plates combined! And it has a huge tale, like a sperm whale or something." I explain as I move my hands around. She seems quite interested so I continue explaining. I take the book back and draw a small diagram to show her what I mean.
"Wow, so it looks like a huge sperm whale?" She says looking at the drawing. I nod.
"Yeah, but that's the thing. It's way too big to be a sperm whale." I say. That's what has been stumping me. The creature I'm talking about has to be at least two times bigger than a blue whale. Maybe even three times bigger. Anyway, the point is, it's huge, it's why I've been struggling to identify it, sperm whales are usually about twenty meters shorter than blue whales. Which is certainly not two to three times bigger.
"Kids, come to the bridge please." We hear Kaiko call on the communicators. Fontaine and I stand walking towards the bridge. When we get there Kaiko is looking at us.
"We're almost at Professor Fiction's. He's the person who might be able to help fix your sub Y/N." Kaiko says smiling at us. "I've been chatting with Will, just to make sure if something happens, we can get to him. So far only the lights have gone out-"
We hear the communicator crackle. "And the fridge." William Nekton says.
Kaiko chuckles. "And the fridge. Small things that fiction should be able to fix. Although, considering it's also had issues with oxygen you may need to stay with us for a while. If you're willing, we have a room you can stay in."
My very own room. On the world's biggest sub. I don't know what to say. I guess they see this and Ant smiles at me.
"I'm sure we'd be able to look for your pop during our spare time." He says as he touches my arm. I smile but also carefully pull my arm away. I understand it was meant as a comforting gesture but after months with no physical touch it just feels really weird.
I nod. "I'd like that. I'd like that a lot. Thank you." I quietly say. My voice is just barely above a whisper. I haven't felt this happy in a long time.
"Before we continue, mum, I'd like to talk to you." She looks at me and Ant. "Preferably alone." She gives me an apologetic smile. I understand and grab Ant by his wetsuits collar, pulling him off the bridge.
"What do you think their talking about." Ant asks. "Do you think it's about girl type things? What girl type things would they even talk about?" I swear he talks so much.
"I'm not sure Ant, maybe it's not girl things at all." He pauses and looks at me.
"Oh. Wait! Maybe their talking about Lost Lemuria!" Now it's my turn to pause.
Lemuria? Why does that sound so familiar? I stand still for a moment.
"Y/N? What's wrong?" Ant says. Suddenly he gets a look on his face. Guess he wasn't supposed to mention Lemuria to anyone.
I don't care about that right now though. What I do care about is why Lemuria sounds so-
I gasp loudly. Lemuria! My pop. He was looking for a lost city! Guess I know why Lemuria sounds so familiar.

A/N: Sorry for not updating. This is seriously slowly turning to a fic that gets updated like once a month. I'll try to get more out but the stuff I write about usually comes to me in my dreams. That's how I become inspired lol. I'll definitely try to update this a little more though. Maybe twice a month.
