It's the end of the week and I've gotten less mad at Stiles, he's been bothering me non stop, if I had acted like this when I saw him with Lydia I would've looked insane.
"Why did you buy homecoming tickets?"
I pick up the cup of water and hand it to Stiles who was just getting his ass beat in lacrosse practice.
"You bought two." He said out of breath.
"I did do that." I nod. I see the team on the field disperse and Scott jogs over to us.
"Why are we talking about homecoming?" Scott takes his helmet off and snatches a cup from the table, downing the ice water before grabbing another one.
"She bought tickets, two of them." Stiles pointed at me and I slap his hand away.
"God is it so crazy that I want to go to homecoming?" I take a cup for myself and sip from the water.
I had been checking the time on my phone every five minutes and it still not the end of the school day. I'm getting tired of being interrogated.
"It's crazy that you bought two tickets." Scott chuckled.
"Exactly!" Stiles got excited at Scott getting what he's been saying.
"I guess I have to go now too." Scott sighs.
"Are you going to ask Allison?" Stiles questions, they both sit down on the bench facing me.
"I would but she broke up with me and I kinda of made things worse this morning."
"Guys suck." I laugh.
"What did you do? send her a bunch of photos of you guys so that she misses you?"
They both look at each other and then at me.
"You didn't do that." I shake my head.
Stiles starts to slowly nod, "No." a laugh escapes my mouth.
"That wasn't my intent." He rubs his hands on his face.
"All right guys! Locker time, Selena and Isaac you guys are required to come to tonight's game just in case I didn't say it. I'll see you back in three hours do not go far." Coach yelled.
I grab the last two cups of water and held them out to Stiles and Scott, they each grab one and down them.
-
I stayed in the hall in front of the guys locker room waiting for Scott and Stiles to come out. I was an ebook on my phone to pass time.
"Lacrosse after party for when we win?" Scott asks me as he swings his duffle bag over his shoulder.
"God no I don't think I'll ever go to another party." I scrunch my face up.
"Why?"
Stiles comes up to Scott and slaps the back of his head.
"Ow!" Scott flinches.
"Don't ask stupid questions wolf boy." Stiles muttered.
We begin walking down the hall, I followed closely behind, looking back at my phone as it begins to buzz.
"Fuck." I stop in my tracks and stare at the phone call from Meeks.
Scott and Stiles stop and wait for me.
"Just answer it." Scott looked over at the phone and I angled it away from him.
I press accept and put the phone to my ear.
"Sel it is I, the Chad Meeks."
I smile, I got a little embarrassed at the excitement that I started to feel so I turned to face away from them.
"Hi." I lowered my voice but Scott and Stiles walked around in front of me and started to stare at me.
"I would like to remind you that homecoming is tomorrow." His tone was formal and his voice was deeper than I remember.
"Yes I am aware." I nod.
"Who is it? Who is it!" Stiles and Scott whisper to each other.
I turn back around and walk towards the doors.
"Well I have arrived and I have planned my plans." Stiles rushes in front of me and opens the door for me and as I walk down the steps I lower my phone.
In front of me on the curb is probably one of my greatest friends Chad Meeks leaning against my lil red car.
"MEEKS." I gasp and run down to him.
"Selly!" He opens his arms and the second I was in them they closed tight around me.
"You haven't driven your car Sel." I look up at him, my chin pressing against his chest.
"That's okay tho because you're gonna be a passenger princess until I leave." He continues to hold me in a hug and I let him.
I had been so distracted that I had forgotten I had friends back home, friends only five hours away.
"I'm Scott! Her brother, Selena's brother." Scott grabs my shoulder and pulls me back out of his arms.
"Hey." He pats my shoulder and I wave it off.
"I'm glad you're here to pick us up." Scott smiled.
"Us? No no." I tried standing in front of Scott but he swiftly walks around me and opens the back door.
"Yeah me too! Thanks man!" Stiles pats Meek's shoulder before following Scott into the back.
"Scott and Stiles." Meeks smiled.
"I'm sorry." I pout, but his smile doesn't waver.
He stopped leaning on the car and opened the passenger door for me.
"My lady."
I threw my bag into the floor and then crawled in. Meeks closed the door once I was settled.
"Those are cute." Scott says leaning into the front and playing with the photos hanging from the rear view mirror.
"Oh that's you and Meeks." Stiles says squinting form the back seat.
"Mhm and this one's me and my dad." I pulled it the Polaroid to show them.
"I thought Meeks was one hundred percent a white boy." Stiles voiced his thoughts.
The door opens and Meeks sits in the drivers seat.
"Just like old times." He looks over to me.
"It's almost like Ellie and Amber are in the back seat too." I chuckled.
"I'm Chad Meeks, guys nice to meet you. I also do not mind that you guys are coming with us. Especially you Stiles."
