Eighteen

Jin was feeling so exhausted even if it was just his second hour of the morning in the office.

The main source of his exhaustion was because he was feeling a bit anxious after seeing the look on Jungkook's face earlier in the conference room as this was something new for him.

Jin closed his eyes for a while and recalled how the younger looked at him, as compared to how he usually looks at him endearingly with his doe eyes. This image alone made Jin sigh in annoyance.

"Urghh! So fucking--"

"Chairman Jin, I have called for the car. You have a meeting--" Yoongi abruptly paused when he saw his boss cursing in a murmur while both his hands were gripping on his hair. So he asked, "Chairman Jin? Are you okay, Sir?!"

"Do I look okay to you?! Ugh--" Jin let out an annoyed sigh again then he slammed his back on his office chair and slouched at his seat.

Yoongi stared at him for a while and said, "Sir, I think this is the very first time I saw you lose composure. No matter how pressured you are at work, or how huge of a deal your meeting is, you stay composed and sharp. Did your meeting with Kim Taehyung cause this?"

"Of course not.." Jin sighed. "Yeah, you're right. I shouldn't be like this over something so trivial. But, I don't know.. this is the first time I felt like- I don't know, like crap.."

"Because of what exactly?" Yoongi sincerely asked.

So Jin paused and looked at his secretary, thinking if he should open up about it or not. But he quickly shook his head and stood up, "Ah, nevermind! It's nothing that I can't handle. Let's go to my next meeting."

Yoongi only nodded, then led the way out for his boss without saying a word anymore. He thought it might be better to let his boyfriend check on his boss instead.

🐹 Mr. Jeon, are you done with work? Come to my condo for dinner. I owe you a promise for helping me with pop-pop, remember?

Jungkook let out a deep sigh as soon as he read Jin's text message. He was already having a bad day because of what he witnessed earlier at the conference room, so he was not ready to face the Chairman at all.

"I know I don't have the right to feel this way, but I'm just so mad right now.." Jungkook muttered to himself as he clenched onto his phone to contain his anger. "How could he dust that off just like that- as if I did not see anything he's doing with that man?! He said he's loyal and--"

Jungkook suddenly paused as he realized something. So he just took a deep breath and shut his eyes as he murmured, "Jeon Jungkook, you are nothing but a fuck buddy.. so- so just stop.."

After a while, he opened his eyes as he let out a sharp breath and stood up, "Right! I'm his fuck buddy! So I'll remind him exactly just that!"

That night.

"M-mr. Jeon, are you not going to eat? You barely touched your food. Is the wine that good?!" Jin asked as he couldn't take the awkward silence anymore.

As the Chairman asked, Jungkook went to his place for dinner and a fucking session after. Jin knew he promised something, but more than this, he'd like to see Jungkook to explain himself properly.

However, Jin is not someone who's very good at facing issues like this upfront, especially that he had not been in a serious commitment before. So he wasn't sure how to actually start.

Despite feeling heavy, Jungkook still answered politely, "Sorry, Chairman Jin. I'm still a bit full, so I'd rather just drink."

"Ah, I see. It's nice to have some drinks to get us both in the m-mood." Jin awkwardly smiled, but Jungkook stayed nonchalant.
