We played truth or dare for a while till we got bored.
"Oh, I have an idea!" Millicent yelled after whispering with Pansy. "So, one person gets blindfolded, the other put a items against their nose and must guess what it is. No hands allowed!"
"Sounds fun!" Everyone agreed on what Millicent was saying. I ended up in a team with Theo. Pansy with Draco and Blaise with Daphne, leaving Millicent to be the judge.
"Okay ready, which team can guess the most items in time. Guys, blindfolds on first." I put the blindfold around Theo's head then search around the room for some items. I found the book for Care of Magical Creatures, a potion bottle and a pair of sunnies.
"3...2...1... go!"
I put the first item, the sunnies against Theo's nose. "A book. A pen. Glass? Sunglasses?" "Yes!"
Then I put the bottle against his nose. "Something hard from glass? Mmhh. Other glasses. A drinking bottle. A potion bottle?" "Yes again!"
I took the hairy book and put it under his nose. "Why is it soft? Is it hair? Is it your hair Skye?! Iel. No. Is it a brush? A teddy bear? Clothes?"
"Draco and Pansy won!" Millicent yelled. The boys took of their blindfolds.
"Book for Care of Magical Creatures" Theo took the book out of my hands, "smart choice" he said as he put it back next to my other books.
"Can we move to the common room for the next round? It's getting crowded in here" Pansy suggested and we all agreed. It was not like there's anyone there at this time anyway. I took my blanket and set down in one of the couches with Theo and Blaise.
"Okay next round!" Blaise yelled excited.
Theo put the blindfold around me and started to collect his stuff.
"Everyone ready. 3... 2... 1... go!"
Theo put the first thing against my nose, what a stupid game is it actually now I'm thinking about it. "Blanket. Pillow. Why does it feel like a cough?" "Correct" I took off the blindfold and saw Theo standing there with a part of the cough pillows in front of me, so I started laughing. Theo pulled the blindfold back up quickly, ready to win this round. "Hard. Feels waxy. Candle?" "Great"
I waited for Theo to take the next thing, but it took a while. I then felt a warm breath close to my face and felt something soft touching my lose. I let out a chuckle. "That's your nose"
The warm breath came closer to my face and I felt his lips almost touching mine. I took the blindfold off without saying anything. He was sitting on his knees on the ground in front of me, still close to my face. The others were still busy with their guessing and didn't pay attention to us. He came closer and closer and then I could feel his lips touching mine. He gave me a short kiss before yelling "we won! We won!"
The others took of their blindfolds, clearly not noticing what just happened. And clapping for us winning. We both made a victory bow before sitting back down on the cough.
"I like girls' night" Theo told everyone. "You should invite us more often for these"
"Well next times you're also joining the masks and nail polish moments" I laughed.
"Plus, the make up!" Pansy added.
"I would be delighted" Theo smiled at us.
"Wait, what items did you pick in the last round, Theo?" Blaise thought out loud. "I only saw you putting two items back?"
"Part of the cough, the candle and..." he looked at me.
"This case right next to me" I pointed at it. "Can't resist a loss, Blaise?"
"Just checking"
"We are Slytherins after all, it's not totally uncommon to cheat in here." Pansy looked me strict in the eyes, "just so you know that, Skye."
"Good to know, Pansy."
We all chatted for a while until it was already 3 am. We decided to end the night and all go to bed.
The next day, Sunday, I woke up around 11 pm, which meant I missed breakfast, but I doubt that many students would be at breakfast in the weekend. I took a shower, got dressed in some comfortable clothes and decided to go and get some lunch.
The rest of the day went by even faster since I didn't do that much. I did actually, finally, reorganize my closet, but that's all I did.
After dinner I was walking around the school, trying to discover some secret tunnels or cool hangout spots, when I found a door leading to a staircase, which looked pretty high. I didn't even think about it twice before walking up the stairs. I believe it was the astrology tower.
It took me forever to get up, but when I finally was at the top of the tower, still catching my breath, I found myself in this open place with no windows or doors, just the sky and the starts. I took a look through the telescope and studied the stars for a little while. After finding the little bear in the stars, I hung around the railing and looked at the actual sky. And I was just thinking. Thinking about life, school, magic... just everything in my life I could think off.
"A little late to be here, isn't it miss Potter?" That voice just scared the crap out of me. Why do some people always just come up out of sudden at a quiet moment, and then scare them like that.
"My apologies. I didn't mean to scare you" I looked at the man. He was old and had a long beard. The headmaster. Dumbledore. I recognize him from the ceremony.
"Don't worry, you did not. I was just surprised by your sudden presence, that's all"
"It's great that I found you here. I was wondering how your first week at Hogwarts has been?"
"It was fun. I already made some friends. And I'm happy with the house I'm places in"
"Great to see that Slytherin is a perfect fit for you then."
"I'm glad you think that" I looked back up at the stars, searching for that one bright star that you always see somewhere up in the sky. "Harry doesn't agree with you"
"You know, miss Potter -"
"Skye, call me Skye please. Potter reminds me of my family"
"Harry is just afraid to lose you. He never had an actual family. So, he's afraid to lose the only family he has left."
"Well, I never had a family too. At least he grew up with our aunt, somehow family. I grew up in foster homes, now in custody of the ministry. He has a family, I don't. If anyone is to complain; it's me, not him"
"I don't think I can ever image what it's like growing up as twins, but still being countries apart from each other. Between you and me, I think the ministry made a big mistake there. However, sometimes it's better to look at the presence and embrace your history. You and Harry are the last Potters left. That's something you should remember, Skylar"
It was silence for a couple of minutes. Just as I was about to go, I remembered something I had to ask the headmaster.
"About the ministry, did they sign my papers for the Hogsmeade trips?"
"Yes. They are in my office. Do you want to pick them up tomorrow?"
"No need. Is it okay if I accio them?"
Dumbledore nodded.
"Accio" in a few seconds, some papers started flying in my hand.
I was studying the papers when I felt Dumbledore studying me. "You're a very powerful young wizard, Skylar"
"Thank you?"
"You should go back, there is a killer on the lose after all."
"Can I ask you something?" I looked the old man in his eyes, they looked calm and full of wisdom. "Why is this man, Sirius Black, so dangerous, that I had to come here? I get that he killed like 13 people, what does that have to do with me?"
"I don't think it's my place to tell you that"
"Then whose place, is it? I hear the whispers around me. This man has something to do with my family's death. And no one tells me what or why"
"Time will tell"
