I woke up on my first real day of school. It was weird sleeping in a room with 3 other girls, at Durmstrang I used to have my own room, but here I had to share it, which wasn't awfully bad, but just weird. One of the girls talks in her sleep, I'm not sure which one, but that's something I have to get used to.
Luckily, they have uniforms here, otherwise I would probably take me years to think about my outfit. First real day of school, it's kind of like a proof, right? you have to make sure to befriend the right people, not the weird nerds. Of course, I don't care who I'm friends with, but I wouldn't want to become friends with a person everyone hates. What if no one likes me here and I never make friends? No, don't act like that. You already befriend Draco and Blaise, plus the Weasley twins. I'll be fine.
I looked at myself in the mirror, then at the school uniform I was wearing, I now realized how much grandma vibes it had, why didn't I notice that yesterday.
''Hideous'' I said to myself.
''I know right,'' one of the girls smiled at me, it was the blond haired one, ''but you'll get used to it over time. They used to be plain back...'' she kept on talking.
I wasn't really paying attention to what she was saying, to be fair. While she was talking, I tuck the shirt into my skirt and rolled the skirt up a bit, which made it a lot shorter. I changed the tie into a more lower not and put on the work robe. I must say, the green colors do look nice on me, better than the plain black it was yesterday.
''... but I see you made it work!'' The girl finished her story.
''I don't believe we have met each other yet,'' I turned to her and stretched out my hand, ''Skye, better known as Skylar Potter''
''Daphne Greengrass'' she smiled. ''Welcome in Slytherin''
I had a short talk with Daphne as we walked to the Hall together. She went straight to 2 other girls. I looked around for the twins, but saw Blaise waving at me, so decided to sit with him and Draco.
''Good morning guys'' I smiled as I set down next to Blaise.
''Good morning, Skye" Blaise smiled back, ''I see you personalized your uniform. Very creative if I might say so''
''I'm not going to walk around in those hideous grandma clothes one more day'' took a bite of the croissant in front of me, delicious.
Before I could take another bite, a loud booming bell sounds rang in the Hall.
''Ready to go to class?'' Blaise asked me.
''I'll just eat on my way I guess. Don't they give you time to eat here?''
''You actually were pretty late to breakfast.'' Draco now joined in as the three of us stood up and started walking.
"So what's our first class and why is it all the way down in the castle?" I ask the two boys.
"We got potions from Snape" Blaise told me. "He's also the head of Slytherin. You should look out for him. He hates your brother" Blaise told me how annoying Snape could be and sometimes even scary. That must be why he was staring at me, hating my brother must mean he would hate me automatically I guess, not fair but not uncommon.
I set down in the back of the class and surprisingly Draco set down next to me, leaving Blaise in front of us. The other students entered, followed by a man with pitch black hair.
"Everyone silence and make sure you sit behind a desk. Today we are learning about a new potion." Snape started talking about a wideye potion. Something I already learned in my first year at Durmstrang, so I didn't even bother to take notes and started looking around the room, which, after a while, Snape noticed. "Is this class too boring for you, miss Potter?"
